I’ve seen the new rules for opening up tourism to Phuket from July 1st. Tests every 5 days would be a bit of a problem, but also staying in government approved accommodation. I’m hoping to head out in the New Year and of course there’s plenty of time for things to change, but is it expected that rental villas will be approved, or that the rules may be relaxed further to no longer require the government approval? From a COVID perspective, I would feel safer in a villa than in a hotel!

Hi,

just wondering what solution long-term residents use for getting mail sent out from home. We’re coming out soon for a few months and need to get mail redirected from home. We have a friend who’ll take care of it, but not sure if we can get mail sent to our villa. Do others use P.O. Boxes, poste restante or just get it sent directly to their address? Any idea how long it takes for mail from Western Europe and is it reliable?

I'm renting a villa in Phuket for 2 months in the new year. The villa doesn't have a BBQ, so looking to buy a cheap one to use during the stay. I've seen the ads for the Barbecue Store and BBQ Shop, looking for something cheaper. Gas or charcoal, new or second-hand, don't mind.
