  1. He may not have a pleasant time getting a visa but that is what he needs.

Hi Lopburi so he is in Cambodia now can he do this I mean get a visa in Cambodia ie torusit visa and then go back into Thailand? Thanks

Your friend need to go to The Thai Embassy in Pnom Penh and apply for a Tourist Visa.

He should be able to get at least 1 Tourist Visa , but the Thai Embassy is known to be difficuly.

    Good Luck

  2. When I did my Cambodia border run two weeks ago, I used Quick Thai Visa Run (www.thaivisarun.com) for the first time.

They had a sign posted on the bus advertising a Laos tourist visa run service for 5900 Baht that departs BKK on Sundays.

Check their site for the phone number to get more details.

Here's my review for their Cambodia visa run service:

    Happy running!

There are 2 companies offering a good value service.

    Thaivisarun.com and thaivisaservice.com.

Both offer trips twice a week, but do not do much advertisement.

Just call the owners and they will advise you with the most current status re visarules ,etc

  3. Hi,

Based on the experience of those who recently got a 1-year multiple B visa in a Thai embassy/consulate in Asia or nearby country (using an already existing work permit), which is now the best place?

    Penang, KL, etc ?

    Cheers!

    :o

If you have a work permit in hand, and written documentation from your company, you shouldn't have a problem getting a multi B visa at most Thai Consulates.

Penang and KL are your first choices.

Only seen 1person with a Multi Entry from Vientane.

  4. Indeed. And last trip I found it nice to see that they got a new VIP bus, with even more space between the seats (makes it possible to recline the chairs a lot without bumping into anyone). But we where some 20-25 people on that tour.

I have to correct you, the 3 buses Jacks is using ,are getting old,one got new seats only.

Many of my friends have been on these 3buses which broke down frequently.

Most of my friends have changed to quickthaivisarun and thaivisaservice.

  5. The actual Cambodian visa fee is $20. You can see this on the sticker they adhere

in your passport. At the current exchange rate this is approximately 660 baht.

Quite a bit of skimming going on. If they only used a fraction of those funds

to take care of their own disadvantaged. I would give it gladly. :o

It has always been the rule that you pay at least THB 1,000.- for the cambodian visa at any landborder.

  6. I always had a good experience back when I had to do visa runs with Jack Golf.
Those were the days. Jack Golf bus broke down again yesterday.

On Friday morning @ around 10am I passed Phanom Sarakham to visit Kabin Buri and I noticed the big blue Jack VIP Bus on the left side, broken down, or under repair.

The bus was still there on my way back at 7pm.

Jack's client must have a hard time .

  7. The only other company left doing VisaRun's is Thaivisaservice from On Nut , depart 8am , return 5.15pm. Fast and reliable as well. Goes to Ban Laem only.

    Tel 081-8154803.

    Both companies , www.thaivisarun.com and www.thaivisaservice.com , are recommendable.

Both companies owners can also give you reliable info about current Visarules.

  8. Guess Jack's has to realize that it takes much more than just bringing people to the border.

Never liked Jack's , but since they changed the rules Jack's seems not being able to keep the service level, my friends keep staying away from them also because everytime the staff is new/do not know any thing about visa, etc .

My friends keep using thaivisarun from Ekamai or thaivisaservive from On Nut.

These guys can offer also real visahelp/assistance and their vehicles are new and comfortable.

  9. Basicly you do 2 times the same round ,each 9 holes , but you tee off from different Tee Boxes.

Very pleasant , easy going place which is just the behind the BITEC Hall.

The area is managed by The Navy and has been renovated recently , good food/drinks as well .

The whole area also includes a outdoor fitnesspark, a medium sized golf driving range , olympic sized swimming pool , a squash court and plenty of tennis courts.

You can use google maps to check out the area , nice and relaxing.

  10. Hi ,

what is your opinion of this new rule.

Reading the classified section of the BKK Post and noted there are plenty of Visa Run Companies who compete with amazing promotions for new customers.

I guess they will be out of business .

These people invested a lot of money and have to close business now.

Sad , but the richer get richer and the poor remain poor.

No everyone can afford to buy a airline.

  11. Looks like another self advertisement , but service is OK.

They leave at 09.30am and return 18.00-18.30.

Food is served on the new bus and there4 turnaround time at border is fast. Volume of movies played is a bit loud.

Other reliable services include Fineday tours , Jack Golf and ThaiVisaService.

  12. Must admit the Italians were the better Team, but imagine a final Italy-England, I guess the English would pay dearly.

Italy played very concentrated and deserved the win.

Hope for a final Italy against France, of course Germany-Brazil,Argentina-Brazil or Argentina-France sounds better , but we will enjoy a good game.

  13. In an earlier post I mentioned that ThaiVisaRun and ThaiVisaService are really OK.

Just did my run on Monday , 3.7.06 with ThaiVisaService and would like to share my positive experience with you.

Meeting is at 07.30am in Lotos/Tesco's Foodcourt next to the BTS Station OnNut.

After filling out the paperwork we left 08.00am,total 7people in a comfortable , new Van.

We were not bothered by BKK Traffic are we left and returned via Expressway.

Morn was handling the run and after a "comfort stop" we reached the border just before 12.00.

Passed Thai Immigration without any delay and their Cambodian Visa Agent took care of the paperwork while we enjoyed the Food in the casino .

Fruit and Coffee are added as a freebie .

After some discussions it was time to go back ,we stamped back into Thailand and were back in BKK by 17.15, as we had some heavy rain on the way , but time passed very fast as we watched a new movie .

Can recommend the Service as it was not crowded , fast and very convenient.

    Two thumbs up

  14. Personally I would recommend ThaiVisaRun run by Phil ,leaves in a new bus 09.30 from Ekamai and ThaiVisaService run by Claudio&Morn , leaves in a new Van/VIP 08.00 from OnNut.

Both are knowledgeable about Visa , Visaregulations and on top their service is OK, hence my vote for them.
