Hi,

What is presently the easiest and cheapest way to send money from Thailand back to the UK. I am looking to send around 4.5m Baht as am moving back to the UK. I have sent money back via the bank before but I was only allowed 1 transaction per day of less than 20k USD. Is this still the same?

Secondly, if this this is still the same can go into a branch in Bangkok and send money from there even though the account was set up in Koh Samui?

Any help and advice would be appreciated.

I need some advice for what is required to obtain a visa to the UK for my gf. I am a British citizen and have a business here in Thailand. I want to take my girlfriend to the Uk for a holiday. Our situation is this:

1. We have been together 1 year and have phone records, pictures etc to prove this.

2. We have lived together for 8 months

3. She has been employed by me for 4 months

4. We have a joint bank account which 25,000 gets paid into every month for her wages

5. My business owns land here and we rent an office and a house on a 3 year lease

6. I own a house in the UK

7. Can show I have cash in the bank over 3 million Baht

We want to go for about 3 weks in August so my questions are:

1. How long does it take to obtain a visa?

2. How much does it cost?

3. Given our situation what documents will they require from us?

Please let me know if anyone has been ina similar situation and how they went about getting a visa?

I want to buy some parts for a Suzuiki Caribian Jeep. I dont need mechanical parts but things like the plastic air vents, new Suzuki stickers, rear wheel cover, canvas cover to enclose the open back etc etc.

Does anyone know of anywhere is Samui or Bangkok that stock Suzuki parts??

If anyone has, or knows of, a cheap Suzuki Carabean jeep, or similar up for sale then please get in touch. It just needs to start and stop safely and have a resonable interior. Cash waiting.

The house is set in wonderful gardens which are looked after by the gardner free of charge. The house has 2 large bedrooms, kitchen, living room and indoor/ourdoor dining area and large balcony and seating area. The house is exceptionally well looked after and is fully furnished to a very high standard inc bed linen, pots pans etc. It also has UBC and 1mb ADSL. The rent for long term is 25k per month and our present lease runs our in September 2007. The house is located 5 mins from the beach in Choeng Mon and is set in 20 rai of land with no noise from any roads at all. Theer are 7 houses in total on the land and all are occupied by long term farrangs from the UK, Holland and Spain.

I have recently bought a Golden Rettriever and after having a cold that nearly killed him after 3 months old he started to have epileptic type fits. We took him to the VET (again) and he gave us a seditive type drug to control the seizures. Since this the dog has got no power at all and just sleeps all day and can barley stand up.

Can anyone help with letting me know what problems the dog may have??

The vet says it is just epliepsy and we have had the dog checked for everything and seems to be fine.

I have just bought a second hand car in Phuket and I live in Koh Samui. I tried to change the ownership to my name in Samui but was told I had to go to Suratthani to re-register the car on Suratthani plates.

I have a work permit, non imm visa, the blue book, copies of the sellers passport that runs out in 2 days, a notification of his address from the immigration office in Phuket and 3 forms that are signed by the seller but are all in Thai so not sure what they are.

Can anyone let me know if

- i have all the documentation I need?

- i have to go to Suratthani?

- Where I would have to go in Suratthani?

- How much it would cost?

It is the same spec as the Imac intel duo as the macbook and also the macbook pro.

I guess that makes sense since all 3 machines use the same intel chipset and also the same cpu's.

I will sell the 1gb module for 5000 baht including shipping.

You can get the memory specs from Crucial.com; don't know about ordering online, but you want:

DDR2 PC2-5300 • CL=5 • UNBUFFERED • NON-ECC • DDR2-667 • 1.8V

They have a list price of $177 for a 1GB module.

I would be surprised if it was the same one as the iMac, but you can check that for yourself.
