  2. I've got to go down to Hua Hin at short notice this week and apart from the Hyatt and Marriott I don't have any hotel experience there.

All I want is a moderate place with reasonable facilities and near the town centre. OK, I can handle a bit of a walk and don't need beach frontage but something more reasonable that the Hyatt pricewise is what I'm after.

I've been through sawadee and some look ok but I'd prefer something with a recommendation. Thanks.

i stopped at the city beach last year while i was waiting for my house to be finished, truly enjoyable and comfortable, wish i'd stopped there othertimes, http://www.asiarooms.com/thailand/hua_hin/...ach_resort.html

  3. hi there, my name's neil, the mrs is sharon,we live in England at the moment but have just had a house built in Hua Hin. we were going to move to Thailand to live this year but to work or set up a business is a bitch.

So our plan of action is wait till we're 50, 5 years to go, then move there on a retirement visa. we are there back & forth a good 3 times a year, in fact i'm there in 4 weeks time, then august and again december.

How do i do it?...i tapped into the silver market, buy in Bangkok, then bring it back to England and sell it to dealers and on good old Ebay, www.stores.ebay.co.uk/jewellery-company. It pays my mortgage in England £1,200 a month, the trip, and living as the markup is fantastic.

This is one idea for you to make money without breaking your back, i work on the computer about 3 hours a day listing.

The reason we chose Hua Hin, well i went scouting on my own a couple of years back, and that was the friendliest place i found, traveling down from bangkok. With your child on the way, it's ideal, not seedy like pattaya, not expensive like phuket.

If you'd like to know more and see pictures of the house, PM me

    regards

  4. hi TC, i have a house being built in Hua Hin which is due for completion end of February. It's at Heights II, on soi 156. The developer is from England and i have met his family and find myself very lucky not to have purchased from anyone else. The specs are very high, 56 plots which all have pools, but there are only a few remaining. i paid bht 6.03m, two storey house for 3 bed, 3 bath, pool, each bedroom has a balcony, carport. Two of the owners of www.siam-property.com have houses on there so i thought if it's good enough for them to live on it must be good. i have enclosed a link to see a house up for sale the same as ours. http://www.siam-property.com/detail.php?re.........Telephone ahmm at siam property and she will sort out your car renatal as well as take you to have a look at the development, her number is:0894925398...regards neil kelly, www.jewellery-company.com, [email protected] if you need any more information.

  5. Hi,

I need recommendations for a guesthouse or hotel in Hua-Hin for 2 nights in mid-December. My sister and 2 of her friends are coming to visit me (first time I've seen her in 15 years)!

I'm looking for something not more than 1500 per night (I'm on a Thai budget, and even that's a stretch for me), but they've never been out of the USA before so the rooms have to be OK.

We need 4 rooms, hopefully not too far from the beach and town.

Can anyone help? Please reply or PM me.

    Thanks in advance.

    HC

i have just come back yesterday, stopped at city beach and booked through asiarooms.com.

  6. hi will, go to www.asiarooms.com where you can view reviews & book online most of the hotels in HH. The best one is the Hilton depending on your budget,of course. Tanawit hotel & condo, is a good one if your on a tight budget, but no entertainment. nice pool & rooms and good breakfast.

  7. Hi all !

Did somebudy know aboute Tanawit Condo/Hotel, how is it ?? Pool and braekfast, the rooms, well all ?? And they are making some renovation of the old building and lobby. Are that finich now ?? Probably I will live there in September.

hi there, i was there for a second time in February, it was the only place available, but it's not too bad for the money. The Pool is nice, never too busy, but get there early if you plan to spend the day round the pool, because of the towels on the loungers, temperature just right. Breakfast is a lot better than it was 12 months ago, a great improvement. The improvements are, i would say 99% finished, there is a great launderette opposite, get your clothes in before 10.00am and they will be ready about 7.00 pm in the evening. They are trying real hard to please, to get return custom. There is also a TUK TUK owned by the hotel to take you

anywhere you want to go.Even one of the holiday companies are using it now.

    regards neil.

Leaving all the legal issues to one side, I, together with family am planning to buy a house in or around the area. Due to the boom in developments, has this caused problems with the water supply, sewerage and electricity etc. Its all very well buying a nice home but has the introstucture kept up with the pace of building? Really appreciate your views . Thanks

i have just returned, last night actually, 06-06-06 and see no problems with utility connections, in fact they are now installing underground wireing instead of overhead cables. My friend owns siam-property in hua-hin, he's british and will advise on any developments being built. his name is Glen and can be reached at the following:

    162/5 Naresdamri road

    Hua hin 77110

That's really interesting that you have just returned in June this year and it is only now April. Does "Back to the Future" Deloreans still exist in Hua Hin ? Further, would appreciate any help you can give into next months lottery numbers.

looking over the previous threads can't find any info on budget apts or condo's (12,000-15-000) any place near the beach close to the hilton, can anyone make a recommendation. looking for six months stay, thanks

    jasper

contact Amm at siam-property, she may be able to help,<email removed>

but if you just turn up, there are rooms to let in the streets surrounding the Hilton.

Also without the appropriate visa, you will have to do a visa run after 30 days. :D
