The pink card shows that you have a yellow book, because you can't get the pink card without the yellow book from your Amphoe (district office). The idea is that it should in many cases replace the passport (and the yellow book),but it actually depends on where you're staying in Thailand. Some banks and authorities in one province do accept it,but next province doesn't. Go figure. ????
Well I just tried it instead of a passport for an internal flight - you are right, it was accepted

You do realize that throat clearing and phlegm spitting is very common
Yes, I do it in my house. I think its a human condition to cough and spit, might be wrong. The issue isn't in a BKK restaurant.

Easy peasy - thanks Gents. I and out in 10 minutes. Usual farang nonsense in their with chaps who 'have lived her 14 years' but couldn't speak a word of Thai getting snotty with the staff -all taken in their stride, good service better than we used to get all over thailand. Well organised.
Cheers again

Do you have any advice for how to deal with such a neighbor who refuses to leave, refuses to acknowledge there's a problem, and refuses to recognize what a disgusting human being he is?
I pity the poor man who has to live next you! Your land lord won't do a thing because he's probably a reasonable man who doesn't also believe that the world revolves around you!
Do you think he woke up one day and thought, 'Hmm, I'd like to cough and splutter all day long. I choose to be in ill health and constantly be coughing up my ring piece, cause its just great fun being sick'
Take a look at yourself, empathy, compassion lack so just move

You would get a 30 day extension of your visa exempt entries.
It will be the same 1900 baht fee for both of you. You can sign the TM7 form for her.
Children under the age of 15 are not fined for an overstay. Up to you whether it is worth getting the 30 day extension or not for her.
Thanks pal, I appreciate your time. I think we will keep it legal and get her the extension also. Thanks again

Hi Folks
Im a Brit, my daughter is a dual passport holder. We entered Thailand on a 30 visa at the airport, I used her Brit passport as the Thai one is out of date.
I need to get an extension in Samui - is it still 15 days or can we get 30 days? Also I know the fee for me is 1900 but I seem to remember they was previously no charge for a child. My wife is on holiday and not with us, so only me to sign is ok right?
Thanks ahead of time
Returning to the UK with family
in Visas and migration to other countries

An update on this long effort, my Mrs directed me here as we are all still grateful.
The legal bill for the UK adoption was just under 40,000 Sterling in the end. Worth every penny, our daughter may be ethnically Thai but she is British to the core and this allowed us all to realise our right to family life in the UK.
Interestingly, the Thai government never accepted me as father however the Mrs is a true warrior and never gave up. After all these years I was asked to attend the Amphor and finally invited as her father to sign the papers to change her name from her Thai birth name to her British surname. She was then issued with a Thai ID card in her namea name change cert and us detailed as parent.
Finally.
@7by7 @steadyand all the others helped my Mrs above, just know that my daughter is top of her class, is insistent on studying hard, is a reader a thinker, an old soul and intends to become a doctor, she has changed her mind from being President of America, the girl aims high. Bless you and I hope you see that efforts do pay off and result in changed lives.
