  1. Ha! There was a couple from Honk Kong in front of me. They were begging and pleading with the io. They were denied. Hong Kong requires THREE WEEK quarantine for returning nationals. Hong Kong based airline personnel are quitting by the hundreds. If I were them, I would do whatever it takes to get an email, any email, from the Hong Kong embassy. It seems any email from the embassy will do if it is addressed to the applicant.
  2. I also hold a US passport. My experience was at Hua Hin immigration office.
  3. The US Embassy in Bangkok has an email address ([email protected]) with auto reply. If you send an email to that address, it will auto reply. Although the email received is only informational, it is enough to satisfy the immigration office at Hua Hin for COVID visa extension purposes. The email received must be to an email address that can be identified with the applicant's name (in my case first initial and last name were enough). The email must be printed and submitted with the application for extension.
  4. And in my case today (18 January 2022) at Hua Hin Immigration Office, a letter of confirmation and request for temporary stay from my consulate.
  5. This was my experience today (18 January 2022). I am staying in Hua Hin so I went to the satellite immigration office in BluPort Mall. I was met by the immigration 'screener' who asked what I wanted to do. When I told him I wanted to apply for a 60-day visa extension based on COVID-19, he told me I would have to go to the main immigration office 8km outside of town. I had carefully prepared my documents with tips from this forum. I was under the impression that consulate letters for 'confirmation and request for temporary stay' were no longer needed. But that turned out NOT to be true in my case -- even if ticking the second box on the affidavit. Three immigration officers were involved, and all were in agreement. This is what I had prepared in my application packet (listed in order preferred by my processing io): Passport TM7 - application for extension - with 1 Passport photo Copy of passport pages - ID page - visa on arrival page - first and only visa extension page - TM6 Letter for proof of residence (from Juristic office of the condominium where I am staying) * COVID-19 Affidavit form (with second box ticked) Proof of insurance ** Proof of vaccination ** * I did not initially have this document in my application packet, but I did have it with me in case. The io immediately asked for it. ** These documents were taken out of my application packet and handed back to me. I did not have a letter from my consulate, and they would not move forward without it. Once I was able to give immigration the consulate letter, they approved and issued a 60-day visa extension in minutes with no other questions - after collecting BHT1900 of course. Side note: I also found out from this experience that the letter must be from the embassy of the country of your nationality. A letter from the embassy of your country of residence (if different from your nationality) is not accepted.
  6. I'm not sure why you are so sensitive. The poll is voluntary and anonymous. You know your previous posts can been seen by everyone, right?
  7. According to the Canberra link above for Non-O visa, the "Proof of adequate finance" requirement (#3.5) is THB 20,000. Seems a bit low.
  8. My "Test & Go" hotel acknowledged that many people we having trouble uploading a picture of their ATK test result. They advised me to replace my profile picture with the ATK result as a work around.

  11. If Bangkok is inconvenient for you or you prefer a PCR test in Hua Hin the day before departure, there are at least three choices as of December 24, 2021. Note to Bell Travel bus passengers leaving from RRC bus terminal near Hua Hin airport: The San Paulo Hospital may be your best option. There are two bus departures from Hua Hin to Suvarnabhumi airport (10:00 and 14:00). The San Paulo Hospital administers tests as early as 08:00. This allows for enough time to complete the process at the hospital and make it to the RRC bus terminal in time for either departure. 1. Bangkok Hospital (Hua Hin) Cost: THB4700 Appointment: Call 032-616-800 (no Walk-ins) Test administration time: 13:00 to 15:00 Turn around time: 12 hours Accuracy: 99% url: https://www.bangkokhospitalhuahin.com/en/packages/covid-19-screening-test 2.
