  1. Of course, 1 year can be perceived in the context of 1 year for various mammals; dogs for example, their year is about 1/7 that of humans. Therefore the beloved Mr. Thaksin could be looking at 52 days. He's already spent many days so the remaining days of the 52 days is less.

Also, there are other mammals, reptiles, amphibians, etc that their 1 year is even less than dogs.

Perhaps Mr. Thaksin could be freed immediately.

Or, it could even be he's already spent more than a 1 year sentence depending on which "creature year" is used. Therefore, Mr. Thaksin could be entitled to not only be freed immediately, but also be entitled to compensation for enduring a more lengthy sentence that he should have. Some bargain rate property in Ratchada might do the trick...

He will likely make alot of good friends in prison. Anyone seen A prayer before dawn? Actually filmed in Nakhon Pathom prison, with many ex-prisoners starring in those scenes. Not someplace you would want to end up.

Joe Cole is excellent as usual. The film is horrifying and amazing.

For him, his only hope is someone on the outside bringing him a steady supply of KY jelly.

  3. Question to all you admirable stalwarts that have endured the incredibly ridiculous requirements of "living" in the LOS during the last couple of years during Covid-19:

I previously lived in LOS from 2005-2011 (legally perThai laws) and sporadically thereafter. I re-patriated to the USA in 2011 for what I believed to be at the time be a 1-2 year contract work stint that morphed into a somewhat "re-settling" in the USA . Then "life" happened and my precious daughter in the USA had even more precious twin daughters, i.e, my twin grand-daughters in 2019.

Now I need to return to the LOS to transfer a significant sum of USD back to the US from my Thai personal bank account to my US personal account...FYI- my Thai bank accounts have always been dutifully reported on the USA side in accordance with all applicable FATCA USA and Thai laws..,nothing to hide here.

What else to do I need to do to have a last visit to the LOS for 3-4 weeks without any worries...i.e. health insurance requirements, tourist visa requirements, Covid tests, etc. ?

This may be my last visit to the LOS, and I want it to be the best of memories...sadly, many of my good USA friends foundered badly during the last two years due to Covid-19. But I would like to make the best of it.
