I normally check out the ASEANNOW website on my phone early in the morning, it is nearly impossible now to read even a few words before an annoying advert from ANA a Japanese Airline takes over my phone, even if l watch the advert all the way through (120sec) it pops up again a few minutes later.

Advice needed to stop the advert, it spoils the site.

Get your Yellow Fever Vaccine before you travel to Nigeria $50

You will be issued with a " Yellow Fever Card" with your "Yellow Fever Vaccine", you will be asked to show this (so keep it on your person) along with your Passport at Lagos Airport on Arrival, prior to Nigerian Immigration.

Note: If you fly directly from Africa (not via Dubai or other hub) to Bangkok, you must go directly to the Airport Medical Centre (prior to Immigration on the left) and fill out a Medical Form and show your "Yellow Fever Card", then proceed to Thai Immigration.

No, "Yellow Fever Card", No Entry.............Simple, (or they'll insist on another Yellow Fever Jab and charge $100+)

As one of the previous posters mentioned the Invertor controls the Motor speed by changing the frequency of the Electricity and sometimes even the waveform from sinusoidal to sawtooth or other, this is known as "Variable Speed Control" it does make things more efficient.

People who travel on electric trains will hear the noise changing tone/frequency as the train excelerates, a similar thing is happening with your Refrigerator, Aircon, washing machine, but we can't hear it in the same manner.

Electricity at 50hz can only drive a motor wound with a fix amount of Poles at a set speed, previously to make the motor go quickly or have more Torque there was other tricks, but now there is the Invertor which can increase the Frequency of the Electricity, which increases or slows the Motor Speed.

But this is Thailand, there are many Lightening Strikes every month, this send Spikes through the supply network 3 or 4 times the magnitude of the 230vAC supply you only might see a dip in the lights a Brown Out which can damage delicate electronics, hi tec is not always reliable, who is going to fix it, in our through away society

Even in the UK we have this issue l am now on my 3rd Solar Inverter in 10 Years.

In my opion the efficiency benefits for most domestic electrical device are negligible, unless you want a Washing machine that spins your clothes at 200rpm

I agree with Hotchilli's comments, just because you can't see it doesn't mean its gone away, plus the Oil Dispersants are just chemicals which cause more pollution and harm to wild life.

The sunken tanker is only in shallow water 30m, the cargo is light oil (not crude), l worked in the Bay of Biscay recovering Crude Oil from a sunken super tanker called Erica, using Divers its possible to tap into the Cargo Tanks and pump in either Hot edible oil or Water to displace the Diesel, but all this takes planning and money.

It's cheaper just to dance around the issue

We arrived from the UK on 90 Day O Visa and plan to apply for a 1yr O Visa Extension for our 2 adult Sons (Mother Thai) base on having Thai family.

Thai Immigration have requested a Certified Copy by the British Consul of there British Birth Certificates, the British Consular service: Oaths affirmations and affidavits (Thailand), see there response below

Thai Immigration Bureau does not require a letter from the Embassy in order to extend a visa within Thailand. Your adult children can complete an affidavit at their local Immigration Office. If your children have questions about their immigration status in Thailand, they should speak to your local Immigration Office or visit the Thai Immigration website. I suggest your children contact immigration to check if a certified copy of a British passport, or other service we provide, may be accepted in its place.   

Has anyone come across this situation is there other options, what can we do, our 90 Day Visa's expire on 09/02/2022

Arrived in Thailand 13 November from the UK. with my Thai Wife and our British/Thai adult Sons all with 90 day "O" Visa (Visiting Thai Family) which Expires 09/02/2022, l have already changed our flights to return to the UK to the 31st May 2022 for a short holiday.

It was our intention to apply for a 1yr Marriage Visa for myself 61yrs, so 400,000THB deposited into the Bangkok Bank 09/12/2021

and 

1yr Visa for my 2 Sons (British Born) aged 25, 27, based on there mother being Thai, again 400,000THB deposited into the Bangkok Bank 09/12/2021

Thai Immigration in Phetchaburi have give us some guidance but l'm still not 100%, were are getting my Sons British Birth Certificates Translated into Thai to present to Immigration in Chiang Wattana

My Question is:

1) How do you make an appointment at Chiang Wattana for Visa changes

2) Should l book a Hotel nearby.

3) Is there any Forms l can download to make things easier/quicker

4) Would it be easier to just apply for Covid Visa Extensions instead

5) Also as we plan to travel back to the UK in May, how can you do this without cancelling the Visa
