  1. Are they still in business ? Thought they did shop signs and such ? Wasn't aware they could do auto striping and graphics ?

Yes they are still in business, taken over by a guy called Max, I think the old owner is some sort of partner.

They are doing stickers for my kart so I'm sure a car would be no problem. Don't forget they also do stick on shop signs so its only an extension of that.

  2. on the new Yamaha Nouvo's the steering lock has a sliding plate over it to stop instruments being inserted .

That sliding plate over the key hole is a feature on alot of different models. I am sure it works to stop most attempts to steal. My problem is trying to move that plate myself and especially in the dark. I get so frustrated and dont like them. Pick your posion.

    :D

Stay off the piss mate, makes all these problems go away :D ...Pick your poison....beer Chang please :)

How you doing Tripod, not seen you around for a long time ?

  3. I had the SuperSight surgery performed by Dr. Somchai at BPH last September and could not be more pleased with the results.

I had several trusted friends that had already undergone the operation and heard nothing but praise for him.

Normally I would not consider going to BPH for anything, though in this case I was assured he was the best.

On the insurance side, I told him that regardless of possible cateracts and insurance claims, I still wanted it done. When I did get half the money returned by my insurance company I considered that a bonus.

The hospital itself is a money machine, Dr. Somchai seemed genuine, took every possible caution against infection and was the perfect gentleman throughout.......I would not hesitate in recomending him.

    PS. It does not hurt!!!

  4. The Charity Clubs 2007 Charity Gala Dinner, Grand Prize Draw & Auction Will be held at the Pinnacle Grand Resort, Na Jomtien Saturday 15th December 7.00 pm - midnight.

''To complement your meal you have; Free Flow Chilean Ventura Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, Chilean Ventura Chardonnay, Free Flow Singha and Heineken Beer...'' :o

    Tickets are ฿ 1300.

From what I have read on the big thread on this subject, even these pre-arranged do's will be dry affairs. There was some big BCCT do on at Northpoint last night, and they were told it will be soft drinks only (not spoken to anyone since).

I can confirm that the Pinnacle Grand Resort comes under the jurisdiction of Sattahip police, not Pattaya, and they have given permission for this event to serve alcohol :D

I too will be nursing a hangover on Sunday morning but happy in the thought that I beat the ban and helped along a few charities in the process.

  5. Not sure where to post this but any work in the above mentioned or similar company?

PGS and WesternGeco are two different companies, lots of work around though, what do you do, Observer, Navigator, Gunner etc.?

yes i know two different but listed them as these are the two companies i am interested in working for, PGS is a different entity where westerngeco is part of schlumberger.

PGS is employing this autumn at least that is what the web page says, and i am interested to work as a navigator/observer/acquisition Qc. entry level

do you work in any or similar company?

I do work for similar companies as a freelance client representative, I've worked for both of the above companies in the past and found PGS to be the better of the two but Schlumberger are renowned for their training and advancement so WesternGeco might be the one to go for in that sense.

As both Dogblower & Sir Blurr state, there is lots of work around but only for experienced people or people qualified for training. If you fall into the latter then I would forget the autumn enlisting and get your CV off now to as many of the larger companies as you can find. CGG Veritas would also fall into these but no idea what the longterm deal is with them.

You might also want to try Doodlebugger.com but you would have to pay the five pounds membership to see the job postings.

  6. For those who haven't seen the relevant threads, the following detail Noel's tireless work on behalf of the Camillian Centre and the high esteem in which he was held by all who knew him.

It has been mentioned in several post’s regarding the continuation of the Noel Thomas Jaidee Appeal and related fund raisers. It would be impossible to match Noels enthusiasm and dogged determination but rest assured we will try our best.

The main fundraiser was the annual Drunkatholon which raised in excess of 300,000 baht last year; Noel re-named this the Jaidee Classic due to recent changes in the law regarding mentioning alcohol.

The original date was changed from the 29th November to the 19th December in the hope that Noel himself could compete following his recovery from surgery. Sadly he can’t but that is a typical example of his commitment. He even considered completing the three events prior to his operation and entering his score on the day should he not have been able, a remarkable man who put others first to the very end.

He also set a target for this year, one that will be very difficult to achieve but is possible with enough support. A local advertising campaign is planned to begin on the 1st December for entrants to the Jaidee Classic which entails teams of four playing 9 holes of golf followed by 2 games of ten pin bowling and ending with 2 players from each team competing in doubles at pool.

The emphasis of the whole event is a light hearted social occasion where the winners are not capable of walking a straight line!

Individuals are more than welcome to register and will be teamed up on the day and transport can be arranged for a very modest fee.

The entrance fee of 1,800 baht includes the golf and bowling costs.

Just for info, the TM.8 form is actually for a re-entry permit and you probably meant a TM 86 (as maestro mentioned) for change of visa status, but I doubt that minor detail will bother you... :D

    Congratulations! :o

I too had no problems changing from tourist to O then to retirement, armed with everything as advised by wpcoe, thanks mate :D
