She should see Dr. PANON as above regarding the endometrial thickening. He will recommend a biopsy snd she should get it to rule out enfometrial cancer, which she is at risk of.

She csn also discuss her PCOS nanagement with him but he might suggest a different Gyn for thst. If do, I would trust his recommenation.

Thanks Sheryl for the recommendation! I have never been to Samitivej Hospital before. Is it expensive? How much should we be expecting to pay there?

Also is this the same doctor at Bangkok Hospital?

Somewhat different sub-specialties for these two things. Has she had an endometrial biopsy yet to rule out endometrial cancer?

    If not I recommend https://www.samitivejhospitals.com/doctor/detail/panon-kasemsarn

As the immediate priority is to rule out endometrial cancer (which PCOS is a risk factor for)

When and how was PCOS diagnosed and what treatments has she had so far? If it has already been clearly diagnosed and if not a fertility issue she might do best with an endocrinologist. If it is a fertility issue then so advise as she'd need a fertility specialist.

No, she has not done any biopsy yet. We were only told it might be endometrial hyperplasia since she has thickened endometrium.

She was diagnosed with PCOS after an ultrasound when she was 16 years old (she is 27 now). With PCOS, her main concern is the irregular and/or heavy menstrual bleeding and the fact that she has trouble losing weight due to insulin resistance. For treatment she has been taking hormone medicines (Ovral G and Ovral L) and medicines to stop the heavy bleeding (and sometimes medicines to induce menstruation when she doesn’t get her period).

I should mention that she has not always been consistent in taking her medications mostly due to frustration at the fact that no doctor she has seen so far has been able to help her treat it.
