have yo done a 60 day wife extension since you last visit with a visa or visa exempt, not a re-entry permit, only one 60 day allowed per visit excluding re-entry
I think then i need to go to the border for 45 days. I went from Covid extensions to 1 year marriage visa internally. The only time i have been out of thailand since the beginning of covid was on the reentry permit. I havent entered thailand on a brand new visa since 2018. Am i correct?

You can apply for a 60 day extension to visit your family if you have not gotten one since your last entry with a visa.
Thanks Joe, I have a visa i got internally but i went to the UK in Dec and came back. Will this be okay.?

I am currently on a marriage visa and i unfortunatley i had to dip into my 400k for a family emergency back home. my visa is coming to an end. I am planning to do a quick border run to cambodia to get a 45 day visa next week as i dont have tie to do the 2 days in Suvanakhet this month. I plan to do the suvannakhet run at the end of the month
I was wondering if i would be likely to encounter any issues with this and maybe if there were any better ways of doing it. I would appreciate any feedback.

Preply are doing this as a survey to help their teachers, who can work from anywhere, to decide where to live. I think bkk is a decent city to live in. If you work from home then commuting is not much of a problem. On the edge of the city i rent a house with a lake and free fishing in the garden, that would not really be possible in other cities at the prices i pay.
There are nicer cities to live in but they tend to be much more expensive and there a cheaper cities but with limited luxuries and pishy unreliable internet. If i were to move from bangkok as a freelancer teaching online then i would probably go to HCMC or eastern europe as i think these are the next best paces to be a preply teacher

once the Thailand pass is available again will it be possible to go to vietnam or neigbouring country and get a 90 day tourist visa. This may be a better option to see me through until the land borders reopen

I have been transferring money to my wifes account for about 2 years previously. I wish i had transferred it to my own account now but i was using paypal and it was linked to my wifes account.

I entered thailand the last time on a multiple entry Non-o visa based on marriage. I have had covid extensions since may 2020. I just renewed on monday until March 24. The news that is being put out suggests that this might be the last time this is possible as they seem to be saying that further extensions will only be available to people who entered as tourists. I was hoping that i would be able to continue extensions until the land borders opened and restrictions were lifted. I am now not sure what to do. The Uk thai immigration website doesnt even clearly state whether a multiple entry marriage visa is available at the moment. Also, the thailand pass, which seems to still be suspended requires you to be in the UK for 21 days concurrently before entering thailand which means returning home for a month which doesnt really appeal too much. I will do the marriage extension next year as i have been building up my income into my thai account up to above 60k a month but i have only been doing this for 6 months so dont have a years worth of accounts.
What i am wondering is what will be the best option for me? I dont mind going to the uk if i need to but i dont want to be stuck there for 3 weeks. IS it worth contacting an agent. I would rather not, as i would rather follow the rules but may need to.
Thanks
Kenny

Extension is at MTT.
Check if you need appointment.
They will just send me to CW because my last visa was marriage. They will only extend at CW

Thanks for al the updates Guys. It looks like CW will have to extend. Also, It looks like my passport will arrive tomorrow anyway so i should be able to get an extension tomorrow
-
Anyone had any more on this?

To get your TM30 they send you to MTT to the place where you do 90 day reporting, Then you have to go back to CW to get the extension. It happened to me last time i renewed

That is false info. I have seen a order stating the covid 19 extensions issuance will end on January 29th. Waiting for a translation of it now.
So i have to go back to CW on monday. How should i broach this if my passport is not here yet and i may need the extension after 30th November

We just phoned CW and it does appear that the covid extension is not going to be repeatable.
We were told we had three options:
1. Come in before the 30th of November (Monday), change your reason for needing an extension using the affidavit form and get another 30 days, (January 29th)
2. Wait to see if the Ministry makes another announcement before December 30th.
3. Apply for a 1 year extension, meeting all the requirements, paperwork, money in the bank etc
The last extension I received from CW was using the affidavit letter, and was given from November 11th to December 30th.
So, this sounds similar to what i was told, no extension after monday.

Your extension is done according to where you live/staying in Thailand.
I meant whether its MTT or CW for those based in Bkk

What was your last entry to Thailand. Visa exempt/tourist visa?
Also your extension was obtained MTT?
I think that your covid extension location depends on visa type

OP, why would CW pass this info on to you when the extensions you refer to are being issued at MTT.
Yes, you told me that so i booked an appointment and went to MTT on monday. They looked at my passport and said that because my last visa was a Non O ME for marriage that i would have to go to CW for this. i went to CW and they accepted my application but said that it must be done before or on 30th November as no visa would be available after that time. I asked if i could get a 7 day visa to allow my passport to arrive, they advised that they could but that no further etensions would be given as it would be after 30th November

If i havent got my passport yet i will go again on friday and get and update from them

Hi,
I was at CW on Monday and was told by to IOs that covid extensions had to be applied for before Monday 30th November as no more extensions would be given out after this time. Has anyone else been told anything like this?

Thanks for this. I guess the letter asking why you need more time was the affidavit?
Just one more question... can you go back end of Dec and get another extension again? If so and if it applies to me (UK passport) too it might just save me money on the agent I'm about to use.
CW told me on monday that the Covid extensions will only be available until 30 November then are being withdrawn

Hi All, Thanks for your help. An update on this. I went to MTT yesterday, and they sent me to CW. the IO told me that i could not apply until i had the new passport and that i would have to apply for the 2 month extension before the end of monday as the extension due to covid would be withdrawn then. My passport is now on its way back so it should be here in time. So they told me i would have to pay overstay for a few days but they have accepted my application and told me just to come back to the counter with the new passport.

Yes, sorry about my earlier post ...mention of the 7-day extension usually means being given a final warning to get out of dodge.
Your application (being only worth a 7-day reprieve) would be appropriate and technically valid, as Immigration should be able to grant a permission-to-stay extension to the end of the current passport expiry date even if that is only 7 days. No need for agents or time travelling magicians, just an understanding Immigration Officer.
Yes that is what i am praying for. Should i go to CW or MTT
