Typical American behavior, the cops should have tazed him and given him a good hiding then charged him with resisting arrest to make him feel at home

If we ignore all rare occurrences there is little left. You do seem out of touch. Trying to associate this with a certain bar owner was a deflection.
You really are a tiresome troll, try finding an interest off this forum.
Nobody is ignoring all rare occurrences and what that has to do with anything is beyond me.
I did not try to associate this event with a certain bar owner. I said that since he and his group started buying up bars along that Soi things have changed and in my opinion for the worse, and one change that is associated with this vicious beat down is the appearance of security thugs in the Soi

Ignoring the murder that occurred there a few years ago eh?
Yes ignoring that as it was a rare occurrence where as violence by security guards is not.
Next?

Although tis incident did not occur at one of his bars, nor were the security associated with him as he has his own.
Not the point. The security are now in the soi and never used to be.
In the better days you may have had the odd incident involving ladyboys but nothing on this level. Actually the girls could normally deal with unruly customers themselves

The pos should be slung in jail and then negotiations should begin about how much compensation he must pay. After that he can start his sentence for the crime

And they can't see it. Slowly but surely western civilization is being eroded away and taken over by Asians and in particular those of Islamic beliefs

You can get the increased amount as soon as you return. If you stay in the UK for 6 months or longer the increase becomes permanent.
That's interesting. Is what you say fact or just what you think?

I once knew a guy who was fiddling sickness benefit while staying long term in Thailand. He told me that when they pulled him in for questioning they knew exactly where he'd been. The bit that stuck out for me was they said that on such-and-such a day you were stamped in and out of Cambodia. He had obviously done a border run that day and they knew.
Now, I'm not saying they trace all of us but I reckon if they want and have reason to then they can find out where you've been

Huh...how is that an issue? I doubt that they'll be able to find much anal in there, it's a Thai prison, not a US/UK/Aussie/ European prison.
Of course you know all about their financial position because you read it in the paper. I concede you probably know more than most about anal but each to their own eh

In where are you referring to? And what you doubt is of no relevance and should be taken with a large pinch of salt .Anybody who reads your <deleted>e knows that

No farang is going to get taxed on money from overseas.
Sometimes I think certain people are trying to force the issue when there is no issue there

I would imagine that they will have been given a rough time since the arrest and it might be difficult to bribe their way out of it.
I would like to hear their side of the story and what provoked them to act in that way

I am about to buy another and have sent some additional money over. The money however is not earned income for any period which may be of concern to Thais and so no tax return or explanation will be volunteered or given.

Did you do the maths for USD. I did.
If we're only discussing sending USD then I don't know which is cheaper SWIFT or Wise but from what you and some others say it looks like using SWIFT is and I'm sure that information will be useful to some people.
From my very recent experience sending 19000 GBP to Thailand and the exchange rate offered to me using SWIFT then using Wise would have been cheaper.
I will not use SWIFT again for any inward remittance to Thailand

Their perception of Thailand is based on an innate feeling of superiority over Thai people or ALL S.East Asians.
Sweeping generalisations: - Expressions like "they". "thais" "third world" "they hate us" "Bad drivers" "Somchai" all come from a basic distain for Thai people their customs and their culture. The response is that many Thai people politely ignore Brit expats and avoid doing any form of business with them. THen the exoats suffer from confirmation bias and so the circle continues.
I bet secretly you whish you were born a Brit and this rambling nonsense is all down to your deep rooted jealousy of us.

Swift will be better exchange rate for 800000.
Wrong. I recently transfered about 900000 using SWIFT and despite a phone call from the bank to semi negotiate an acceptable exchange rate, it was still almost half a Baht less than I would have got using Wise. Pounds Sterling was the currency.
I only used SWIFT because I wanted an FET to go towards a condo purchase. In hindsight I would have been better off paying for the additional FET document locally.
Wise is the way to go

It's not just the one-way system, it's an absolute nightmare getting anywhere these days. There are roadworks all-over the place and people would rather do without the pain of driving.

Not something I'd want to see anywhere.

With regard to the money used to purchase your foreign quota condo and where it came from, facilitators are available to provide the necessary paperwork to submit to the land office should for whatever reason you can't provide the paperwork yourself. For a fee of course.
