The corvid 19 insurance would have to be valid to the day your re-entry permit expires in March of 2022.

Thanks for reply, but something for me doesn’t appear very clear.

I subscribe the insurance till the end of my permit to stay, If I decide to go abroad once more before my permit to stay expires, I’ll lose the insurance for the time that I stay abroad or not ?

    More sample

On departing, I have in mind to go back abroad after one month of stay in Thailand so I make the insurance for this period, as rules say, but during my stay I decide not to go back any more, so will happen to stay in the country with expired insurance.

Any solution for these problems, thanks

  2. hi everyone, currently I stay in Italy and  trying to return to Thailand. I am regularly married and in possession of an annual “spouse” extension visa which expires in March 2022 and the “re entry permit”. In addition to documents such as COE, double vaccination etc. a pro Covid insurance is also required by the Embassy. Is it compulsory ? Which should the duration of the same insurance be, considering that I live in Thai? Thanks for any info.

  5. Original recipe of Pesto Genovese

    for around 4/6 dishes

    • 50g of basil leaves (from Genoa of course)
    • Extra virgin olive oil (from Liguria)
    • 6 Tbsp grated Parmigiano Reggiano or Grana Padano
    • 2 Tbsp Pecorino (romano, toscano, sardo or siciliano)
    • 2 cloves of garlic (can be omitted)
    • 1 Tbsp pine kernels (from the Mediterranean area)
    • 1 tbsp chopped walnuts can be substituted for the pine kernels (must be European from the species “Juglans regia”)
    • Coarse sea salt

    1. The traditional method uses a wooden pestle(where the dish gets its name from in a round about way) and a marble mortar. Start by pounding the garlic and salt until you get a smooth paste.
    2. Add the basil, a handful at a time, and keep grinding using a circular motion until each batch of the leaves is incorporated. To preserve the essential oils in the basil, you shouldn’t be too rough with it.
    3. Add the pine kernel and grind some more.
    4. Add the cheese and mix well.
    5. Add the oil, little by little, until the pesto has the right consistency – a matter of taste.
    6. Serve with pasta or added to minestrone. The recommended pastas are troffie, trofiette or trenette, but it goes with just about any pasta.

So if you add some other ingredients, it's no more Pesto Genovese

    Cheers !!

    John

  6. As I want to make pesto so I've been looking for it in large quantities at a reasonable price. Many of the Italian restaurants who make their own tell me they get it at Makro but I haven't seen it there. I did grow it (along with 7 types of local basil) and it didn't do bad until the rainy season flooded it out. If you do want to try to grow I'd rec. in a pot as my potted rosemary is a large bush now. Now for the matter of pine nuts! (but walnuts or even the cheaper local cashews are fine substitutions)

    Hi

I grow "genovese basil" in enough quantities, seeds imported from Italy, it has just been planted, the next harvest in about a month, according to rain falls, pm me if you are interested.

    Bye John

  7. I suspect no application has been made to any court and either

    1) you are a troll, and the whole story is bo*&^%ks. or

    2) they are trying to scare you into a cash settlement.

Do you want to bet 10.000.000 Baht ?

    I'm ready !!

    I'm referring to this

    cheers !

  8. Maybe true about the British Embassy, but the OP is not British, and maybe his Embassy have different guidelines.

    Yes fair play.....

In the meantime I guess no one can be surprised by the BE's lack of interest......

They take the phrase "not my business" to new levels....

I have never heard of any Thai court order being upheld by any foreign country (for damages, payments, etc).

Not that she has a hope in hell of winning any court order at all in Thailand.

As far as I know you can't even be sued for a specific amount of child maintenance in Thailand.

    All they could do is

    1) Apply for you to be recognized as father (If you don't voluntarily supply DNA, they can't rule)

    2) If recognition as father was done, then they could apply for maintenance (but not specify an amount, not claim in arrears)

I suspect no application has been made to any court and either

    1) you are a troll, and the whole story is bo*&^%ks. or

    2) they are trying to scare you into a cash settlement.

Do you want to bet 10.000.000 Baht ?

    I'm ready !!

  9. You have not mentioned anything about the children and if you want them or not....only the money.....are they not important to you or have you given up on getting them......in this country, this could be a realistic action.

As today, I'll think to children next step, now I have to solve the first problem, I mean to understand if XXXX has the rights to sue me for that sum.

    Thanks !!

  10. In Thailand

You were never married to her, you have no responsibility for her children, you are not their father.

Not even worth wasting money on the Thai lawyer.

For a couple married at the Amphur office.

Thai court awards 100bht a day maintenance, not backdated, but from the conclusion of the court case.

    Yes, thanks !

But Family problems in Thailand are slippery !!

I think that I cannot go to the Juvenile Court alone, or don't go at all.

    rgds

  11. I think the XXXX got advice from a very smart lawyer or a friend.

she is asking for 10 000 000 and has what seems to be all fake documents, HOWEVER OP will need to prove it is fake, ie spend money on the lawyers etc.

so he would start to negotiate, 10 000 000 is a VERY good negotiating point for XXXX,

She is also seeking 25 000 per month, again excellent negotiating point.

If matter does go to court and she gets only 10% of what she is asking she would be doing great.

So, i would get a lawyer now and a good one at that, or you may end up with a very short end of a stick

PS. If she gets court order, even if OP runs away back home, she will be able to get the money through the embassy

I got a lawyer already, he seems to be a good one, but I would like to share this experience here, for future memory !!

    Thanks !!

  12. Hi,

around six years ago I started a relationship with XXXX, we made only wedding party and didn't register our marriage. After one year a male born, and he got my family name on birth certificate. Two years ago, more or less, XXXX started claiming that she would like to have another baby, but I refused. In the meantime we were ruining our relationship. On April 2011, while we were in Phuket for holidays, after an altercation, she flew with our son and went away to live with her family. After a couple of months some common friends told me that she was pregnant. The second baby born on November 2011 and has, on birthday certificate, family name of mother, because I refused to sign the hospital birth statement.

Now XXXX sued me in Juvenile and Family Court for 10.000.000 baht compensation for her and 25.000 monthly support for each child.

When the first baby born she couldn’t make registration at “Amphur” as her ID card was not recognized by the computer

But that time I didn’t care too much.

On August 2011, we were already separeted and I didnt' have any news about her, XXXX changed name, and she registered the second baby after 5 days of birth, (november 2011) and after three months, it means after 5 years of birth, she registered the first born and got his birth certificate from “Amphur”.

    What sounds “funny”, it’s:

The number of first and changed name ID card are different

The place of birth of XXXX is different

The name of mother of XXXX is different

But she got all documents from Amphur, with new name.

I would appreciate very much if someone could clarify this situation

    John

PS I apologize for my awful English, but I’m not English mother tongue.

  13. BASIC SPONGE CAKE

    8oz Flour

    8oz Castor Sugar

    8oz Butter

    4 eggs

    2tsp baking powder

    Vanilla Essence

    Almond Essence

Place all the ingredients into a mixing bowl and mix for about 10 minutes. Line cake tin with greaseproof paper. You can also put butter and flour if you have no greaseproof paper. Pour in the mixture and bake for approximately 1hour or until a skewer comes out clean.

Don’t forget butter and eggs should be room temperature.

    Hope this helps.

    Sorry man,

sponge cake doesn't absolutely need neither butter nor baking powder.

    cheers
