If you do an entry on or before the day your visa expires you will get a new 90 day entry.
Just want to clarify, that the new 90 day entry will still be under Non-B (as it will then go well past the date on the visa itself)? Just dont want to make any mistake that could mess with my work permit.

Hello,
I've currently got a 1 year Non B Multiple Entry visa that expires in April (most recent immigration stamp also around same time). If I leave and come back before my stamp date and before the visa expires, will they stamp me only until the visa end date? Or will i get 90 days again, giving me a total of nearly 15 months on the visa, instead of 12. I've been told this is the case, but getting conflicting answers now.
Please advise, as if i dont get this additional time, I'll plan a different course for my new application.
Thank you in advance.

As pointed out by others it definitely doesn't mean the employee can go around working for anyone or doing anything because he/she has a wp.
unfortunately, this is exactly how it sounds (to most) after reading several of the articles that have been written/published/shared about the amendments

Imho this says that a foreigner who has a work permit according to section 1 is allowed to do any kind of work (if this type of work is not forbidden for foreigners, as listed under section 7)
So unless there are limitations hidden anywhere else this means that what you said in your first post is true.
But you should keep in mind that this most likely does not exempt the business where you work from their obligations (minimum amount of Thai workers and registered capital for foreign employees), so just because you have a work permit you can not suddenly start working at your GF's restaurant (unless she has 4 Thai workers and 2 million THB registered capital)
Thanks for your reply. I understand and agree with your later points.

Thanks for your reply. I've also seen this document translated into English, which totally supports what we're talking about. However, Its not nearly as clear or cut n dry when I've asked Thai people to read the Thai version, the same one you've linked to. I wonder what is involved in legally proving this?

Hello,
I've seen several articles stating that work permit holders are now allowed to engage in any work, even work not stated directly on the work permit, as long as its not one of the "Thai National only" job categories. I cannot find the official document on any government website. I'm referring to specifically,
Section 37 of Decree No. 2 repealed Sections 70, 71, 72 and 73 of Decree No. 1. Furthermore, Section 28 of Decree No. 2 provides that a work permit holder may engage in any work that is not specifically prohibited to all foreigners on the “Official List” of work prohibited to foreigners. The Official List outlines, the limited number of activities for which a foreigner cannot obtain work permission for in any case.
If anyone can provide me a link to this document or official claim from a government website, it would be greatly appreciated.
I've now heard different advice from multiple sources. Some saying this new regulation is already in effect, and others saying it is not yet. If anyone can show definitive proof, one way or the other, it would help a lot.
Thank you in advance ????

If I've got a 1 year multiple entry Non B visa, and a work permit, when I fly out on date stamped, can I fly back same day? Or is it likely to cause a problem? Otherwise, I can stay overnight somewhere, but I'd prefer not to if I dont need to. Any experiences with this?

Getting ready to start a small business and checking out some companies that offer all-inclusive assistance to set up my business. Can anyone share positive or negative experiences they might have had? Anyone used Interactive or Indo-Siam?

Online prices for flower delivery are insane. Does anyone know a local florist in Kanchanburi who does delivery and can accept either credit card payment or bank transfer? Many thanks.

many thanks everyone. I think I'm probably just barely ok on each and every one of these points. Trip following this one will be for proper visa anyway.

Would that be 6 consecutively or total?
UJ, you da man! Thank you for your expedient replies as always

Hello,
Has anyone had any issues upon return to Thailand after flying in and out several times without a proper visa? I hold a USA passport and normally we are allowed 30 days visa exempt status. All of my trips have been flights and my next one will be also. Just want to know if there are any official or unofficial limits to this...
Thank you in advance for your comments.

Hi UJ,
Thanks for your reply. I haven't extended it yet and keeping that as a backup plan, but regardless will be going for tourist visa after this visa exempt. I actually like PP and prefer to go there for my visa, just wondering if this is still considered back-to-back if I have a VE in between visas...

Hello, My last tourist visa was from Phnom Penh. I have since traveled to KL and returned on visa exempt. Should I have any issues getting another tourist visa in Phnom Penh after this visa exempt? I will have proof of flight out of Thailand again. I'm just not sure if this would count as "consecutive tourist visas" from the same embassy (which I've heard makes things difficult) if I have my last trip in between ... Thoughts, or anyone who's experienced this scenario would be appreciated.

Thank you kindly for the replies, a lot of useful information here.
Also, how long would the new owner need to keep the condo before reselling? Are there laws regarding this? Or just higher transfer fees for shorter ownership periods?

I think it's all here http://www.siam-lega...ransfer-tax.php
Thank you... Are any of these taxes/costs shared by the buyer?
I dont have an agent, looking to sell on my own and then just hire a lawyer for the transactions.
-
For ease of math, lets assume I'd like to sell my condo at 5M baht... Other than approximately 3% commission going to an agent, what other costs/taxes am I responsible for? Also, lets say the building is 5 years old and I've lived in it the whole time.
Your help is much appreciated and I'm sorry if I posted in wrong section.

Can I do my 30 day extension of my 60 day tourist visa at Pattaya Immigration just the same as I would normally do at Chaengwattana?

Kungs Cafe, for breakfast (and you'll go back for lunch). Coconut coffee will rock your world.

I'd like to get a new passport simply because mine is filling up with too many visas/stamps. I only see information about lost, damaged, or stolen passports online. Does anyone know if I'm able to replace for a new one "just because?" If anyone has done this before, I'd love to hear your experience.
Many thanks.

I have a lot over the years, but i've been on ED for last year and a half with one visa exempt in the middle. I guess I'm just hoping they'll let me know if I wont get it before they take my passport and money. If they say no at application time, I'm fine with the backup plan of 30+30. Really just dont want to waste time and money.
