  1. Did you get my PM? That bit of kit is well worth buying. Very versatile. Can even use it as a diskman though you don't see much of those these days.

I haven't used the webmaster myself but I've heard good things. Should sort out the server problems.

    Regards

    S

  2. I don't think it's a scam but they are very unprofessional in the way they deal with people.

And check out the charming posts at the company blog. http://11infotech.blogspot.com/

Monsieur Comglas has a way with the words.

Don't even bother with these people, they can't even be botbered to reply to emails. (Ref their jobs)

This maybe a scam, because since i replied by PM i have had nothinng but scam and viruses (although my softwear prevented them)

    Be careful.

    Whitz!

  3. I've had the same experience. emails unanswered. Waiting for up to an hour in vain for a "live operator" to be available. What a fiasco.

Apparently nobody there really wants to work! I have sent several emails and left a phone message but have not received any replies.

If anyone knows of an agency that is halfways decent please let me know. I need to move as my girlfriend's8 year old daughter is coming to live with us.

I am looking for a two-bedroom, preferably low rise with a pool and playing area for her. I want to be away from the tourist ghetto but yet within BTS/MRT range or no more than 30 minute taxi ride to Sukhumvit Soi 1 for work. Budget is 20-30,000

  5. Could anyone advise on the pragmatics of actually submitting the application for a visitor's visa (non settlement) for the GF.

I've prepared the form and supporting documents, and wonder what's the best way to submit the application.

Is it a matter of standing in that enormous queue along Wireless Road? Do we both have to go the first time or can we wait for an interview? Or can I send it by post, in which case should I send the Thai passport along?

I've searched for answers on this forum and the embassy website, and also went an email but couldn't find an exact answer

    TIA

  6. I passed this along to a well-qualified acqaintance over two weeks ago. He applied, got a reply promising full info within the day, and hasn't heard a thing since. Doesn't sound like this IT Professional's got his act together. Doesn't bode well for getting paid on time either.

    Hi Forum Members and Guests,

I am an Australian IT professional here in Bangkok for two months to create Micro-Movie help files for Microsoft Office 2003 English version. I need 4-5 freelance staff who can work from home. Just basic computer skills required, however good spoken and English reading skills required. We use screen-capture software and provide full training, so this job is suitable for secretaries and usual office workers. Of course IT workers are most welcome as well. Future full time work available to right candidates. If you know of anyone who may be interested please ask them to email me at: [email protected]

  7. Can anyone recommend a good agency to do the translation and take care of the MFA side? How much do they charge?

    TIA

The embassy can assist you with the translation - they charge 500 Baht/page :o

    Unfortunately not.

    From British Embassy Website:

"Once the affirmation has been signed, you will need to have it translated into Thai. Please note that Consular Section does not undertake the preparation or translation of documents. Many reputable translation companies advertise on the internet as well as in the Thai local press. The Embassy is unable to recommend any particular firms."

  8. I've been using the 576/288 package with mixed results. It does beat the ###### out of dial-up, though.

I've noticed that it connects at 288.0 Kbs (though the green modem icon says 6144 Kbs).

Also it disconnects every 24 hours.

    Is this normal??
