Today after a lot of phonecalls i finally had contact with the TMB bank on Koh Chang and indeed i have to come in person to open an account there so i have to wait a little bit untill i'm back in Thailand

I have contacted the ING bank in Holland but the guy i spoke with did not know of a bank in Thailand that is for 30% theirs....

I will try tomorrow again for the head office.....

I did find that Thai bank on the internet....

Is it possible to open a bank account in Thailand without being in Thailand ???

We ( Both farang) are now in Holland but we need urgently a bank account in Thailand.

So how can we arange this???

Hey kees we could not make it to come to your place last time because we were very buissy on Koh Chang and BKK to make everything in order but now were okay.

If you need to do a lot of transfers from a bank account outside Thailand to a bank account in Thailand, I suggest that you choose a Thai bank that is the correspondent bank of your bank in your home country for the currency you usually remit to Thailand. Ask your home country’s bank what their correspondent banks are, and which one of them they consider best.

Another big bank is Kasikorn (Thai Farmer’s Bank)

Yess we are back from Koh Chang and in HHolland again.

We had a pleasant meeting with Sunbelt in Bankok and we looked at some buisiness-oppurtunities on Koh Chang.

Now we have to decide what oppurtunity is the best for us......

4 januari we go back and hopefully we have made up our mind witch choise we make.....

We have a lott of calculating to do now....

Okay, were almost there....

We have talked with a lot of people here in Holland aswell as in Thailand and were finaly getting there.
