I would just like to clarify certain points raised on this thread.
Nois Bar has never been done for a music licence.
We were advised some months ago that we could no longer operate after 1am...When the BiB turned up at just gone 12am everyone was surprised.
Nois has never received any warnings of a 12am closure.
I am not aware of any barowners on the darkside that work in their bar.
I'm not aware of any 'new' bar opening on Khao Noi apart from one owned by an Englishman a couple of doors down from Nois, some details would be appreciated.

Hi Lee here from Nois Bar, just to let you guys know of a couple of new places just opened on the darkside.
The first is a new bar not on the map that I created, it's called 'Saints' bar (a tidy looking drinking den) and is across from The Bamboo bar.
For those people that love their pies and fresh pickles etc, there is a new place opened up next to the umim bar. It is owned by an English guy called Lee, who is a chef and specialises in Pies and homemade pickles i.e. Branston/piccalili (sp) as well as other favorite delicacies like home-made fruit pies.
Just another couple of service establishments for us Darksiders!

Just to answer the wine question. The supamitr next to foodland offer a 2/3??? litre box wine (I know what you're thinking) called Franzia, which is a Californian wine (white or red) for under 600 baht. It's extremely quaffable!

I had high hopes of the bakery opposite Rung's but his Pastry resembles concrete, by the time I'd finished one of his pies I thought I'd have to fork out for some new front teeth, obviously cooked with the microwave (yuuuuck) in mind. Also tried Cornish pasties at both the premiership place on Soi Diana and Butchers arms in Buakhow, <deleted> hanging in both places. You would think that farang owned places serving farang would know better, guess they just can't be assed as they know the next tourist is just round the corner so fuc_k the expats.
At least most of the Dark side places tend to care a bit more about what they serve up.
The best Cornish Pasty I have had is from The Jack Tar bar on Soi6...So much so that I stock their pies, lovely!

Sorry guys for this thread as I am sure it has been done to death...I don't have the time to look through 204 pages on the hope I find the same kind of thread.
Long story cut short.
I have lived in Pattaya for 3 years, been with the wench 2 years. I stay on a business visa which ran out 4 days ago, I have just renewed my visa (tourist) for one month and I am aware that I have to leave the country within 90 days.
I was planning on going back to the UK in December though due to my shortfall with my business visa (I forgot to get my 3 months extension) I have to go in November. I'm 37, have a home in the UK (no mortgage), I have a business in the UK which I am the MD of (limited for 7 years)
I want to take the wench with me for maximum one month...I have no idea where to start? People talk about getting married etc though that is not an option at this juncture.
Please, can anyone point me to a thread that covers this issue or give me some direction.

Well Guys and Gals...I just wanted to 'SHOUT' a BIG THANK YOU for making the concerted effort to drag yourselves over to the 'Darkside' and visit my establishment.
I can only vouch for myself when I say I had a great night and that I enjoyed everybody's company that I got to spend time with...sorry to anyone that I didn't have the chance or time to say 'HI', although I think I made myself known to most
(Sorry about that).Thanks to the kind comments above and I hope most others shared the same enjoyment on the night.
It will be an absolute pleasure to play mine host to the 'TV' Gang again or even if you drop in if your ever passing by!
Once again thanks for making a great night, it was most appreciated.

A TV member thought it a good idea for me to at least join and introduce myself prior to your visit on Friday, so here I am. Needless to say I am a member on numerous boards and only try and give input if I feel I have something of some value, otherwise I just keep my wayward fingers to myself, hope you don't mind my silence
As a little gesture to the TV members that are making the concerted effort to come over to the 'Darkside', I am going to put on a little food for you, nothing to spectacular, just a little something to whet ones appetite i.e. Maybe a Beef Stew with fresh baked bread, Chicken Penang, Chicken drumsticks, some flavoured rice etc...I'm sure you get the drift!? As always it's a numbers game but don't worry about confirming how many will be making it as I am sure the rest of my friendly clientele will finish off whatever is left
I note some of you may have difficulty finding 'Nois', though trust me when I say it is very easy. Follow Pattaya Klang to the main set of lights (Sukhumvit), Turn 'Right' and then keep your eyes open for 7/11's on the=1][/size]
e left, at the '2nd' 7/11, Turn 'Left' (Soi Bunyasampan or whatever) otherwise known as 'SOI KHAO NOI'...Please note if you take some form of taxi transport, draw the words out....Soooiiiii Cowwww Nooiiiiiii...They'll understand for sure. We are approx 2kms on the left, 200 yards past 7/11 on this Soi.

For those not wanting to drive I can organise a taxi to pick you up (toyota Vios A/C, TV etc) and drop you off for a small fee of 150 baht each way, car can carry 5 people if one of you is a leprechaun

No, not open yet...Lights on, nobody in.
The owner is fromScotland and is called Colin, been in the catering industry for 26 years...I, like Raro do not understand why he needed a franchise?

A new place to look out for is Cafe Uno on Soi Khao Noi, not officially open yet but snacks and drinks are available. At present fresh ground coffee/Expresso/Cappuccino/Latte @ 40 baht and fresh Panini sandwiches with either Tuna, Chicken, Ham or Fillet steak, starting from 110 baht.
However, when this place opens you will find a menu with a mediterranean feel, a lso daily specials Bistro'esque...Cafe Uno will serve food that is freshly prepared and home-made. I had one of the Chefs home-made Beefburgers with a red onion relish 2 days ago on a toasted bun, once Uno opens and they serve their burgers with REAL hand cut chips this will be a weekly purchase for me!!!
It is aircon on the inside with a terrace area outside, they have free wifi to customers and all in all a nice gaff.
It opens 4pm-10pm for the moment but hours will be 10am - 10pm from August
