  1. I do not know if it could interrest you but BSL (Bangkok Soccer League) is organizing a league running from October to ~ March.

BSL is divided in many leagues with kids born from 1992 - 2003 and play every Saturday morning.

You will find more details here www.bangkoksoccerleague.com.

This might be interesting. However, their website does not seem to work. Most links lead to an empty page. Are you involved in that league? Do you know if it is still possible to join the league or would we have to wait until next year?

Yes I'm involved and it is still possible to join.

Should you need more information, feel free to contact me.

    My email is Marc email

  2. Thai girl, 11, tees record

While other golfers land lucrative contacts for playing in big tournaments, 11-year-old Ariya Jutanukarn's reward for reaching her first LPGA Tour event was an ice cream covered in chocolate sauce.

The diminutive Thai became the youngest golfer to compete in an international tour event at the Honda LPGA Thailand yesterday, beating Michelle Wie's record by five months.

The schoolgirl, who took up golf at five, advanced in qualifying earlier in the week.

"A lot of people are watching. There's a lot of pressure on me, but it's a chance for me to get experience, play with the top players and show people what I can do," Ariya said.

"I feel very excited, just having the chance to play is amazing - it's great to make history."

Ariya has employed her 13-year-old sister Moriya as her caddy, after she narrowly missed out on qualifying.

"She has a lot of experience, she can give me good advice," Ariya said.

"She knows more than my dad. She has more experience as a player and she's used to carrying her own bag."

The pair jog together each morning before class and practice for three hours after school.

Father Somboon is proud of his daughters.

"I didn't think about her beating the record, I'm just pleased to see Ariya get this experience," he said.

"I have a couple of future top-10 players here. I'm really proud of them."

Despite getting bragging rights on her sister, Ariya said she expected her to turn pro first.

"She's a better player than me," Ariya said.

"I really wanted to play against her here."

For now, Ariya is happy to play against the big girls, specially her idol, 10-time major winner Annika Sorenstam.

    And the money?

"I know the other players are getting money for this, but I'm getting experience," she said.

"That's a lot more important than money."

It is certainly a nice experience for Ariya but I'm not sure than "beating Michelle Wie's record" is a good thing for this little girl.

Does Michelle Wie be a model for the new generation?

Does Michelle Wie won any tournament since she turned pro? :o

If I'm not wrong she's doing good money with Nike but she's not impressing anybody anymore. :D

So I hope K. Somboon is a wise man and tell/help his daughters to continue to practice and play but most importantly to continue to study at school.

  3. Koh Samui's Tourism Promotion Association chairman Senee Phuwasetthavorn said the repeated floods on the island were caused by the construction of houses, bungalows and hotels, which obstructed natural waterways.

    why thank-you ,

now , what is going to be done about it ???

I'm just back from Koh Chang, it was no raining at all during this week. :o

But they are building news hotels next to each other all along White Sand beach.

They're removing partially the forest just behind some of these new hotels. As the slope is quite big there, I do not know what will protect protect these hotels, road and finally the beach.

It will happen soon something bad there...

What really means National Park? Koh Chang is a National Park isn't it?

  4. Ferry Capsizes In Thailand, All 42 Passengers Safe

BANGKOK: -- A passenger ferry carrying 42 people capsized off southern Thailand Tuesday, but rescuers saved all the passengers, it was reported. The ferry was taking a group of local villagers to the resort island of Phi Phi when the incident occurred.

Police Col. Somphob Kantasee said, "A ferry, which had a capacity of up to 100 people, sank when a wave hit the boat during a storm."

    Ferry capsizes in Thailand

BANGKOK: -- Dozens of people were missing after a boat capsized and sank Tuesday near a Thai resort island, police said.

The boat, carrying about a hundred passengers and crew, capsized after it faced strong currents and wind in the Andaman sea about 40 kilometers (24 miles) from mainland Krabi province, 650 kilometers (400 miles) south of Bangkok, said police Col. Sompob Kantasee

So which of these reports of the same incident do you suppose is factual????

Its always an adventure to read the news as reported by thais..... :o

It's always an adventure to read the anti-thai prejudices on thaivisa, but not a good one. Can anyone tell me what all of those negative farangs are doing in Thailand?

These negative farangs are in Thailand because it's the last and only country they're still accepted...

  5. I leave in a mooban in Samutprakarn where it seems that the street dogs are civilized and the dogs owned by residents well trained.

I ridding and jogging almost every day without any problem exept a little dog who like to run after everything moving faster than a snail.

As I plan to get a dog soon, does anybody know a good dog trainer in Srinakarin - Theparak area?
