I'm outside Thailand now with a work-permit and would be very lucky to make it back by July or August and will have to pay for quarantine. Then there may be retirees, married people, elite visas. Can't imagine any kind of tourism until the autumn.

It means they are figuring out ways of making money from quarantine in the absence of tourists.

In a similar position, work-permit holder outside the country trying to get back in. While work permit holders have been mentioned as being those who might be let in and I've heard it's been discussed, I certainly wouldn't be making bookings or guessing what will happen or what conditions will need to be met after May 31st. Wait until CAAT make an announcement. I would imagine foreigners would have to pay for quarantine accommodation.

good luck getting a Covid 19 test if you are not ill (unless you are a rich sportsman)
Yes I agree. That's why I think if they say they are allowing people in with work permits on one hand but still asking for a covid test with lab results as part of a fit to fly certificate then there's not really any progress. Two week mandatory quarantine at your own expense similar to Hong Kong would be a better idea.

The most recent notice by CAAT on 26/3 does say wp holders need a fit to fly certificate issued within 72 hours. See point 2 in the attachment. Crucially, it doesn't specify what's required. I will try to contact a Thai consulate or embassy on Monday. If they still require a covid test with lab results then re entry will be extremely difficult.

Could someone specify exactly what a fit to fly health certificate consists of? If they are still requiring a negative covid test with lab results for work permit re entry then that will still make coming back next to impossible.

I'm not a musician myself but i've been wanting to check out Nomads for a while, will do so next time i'm in Bangkok.
For those in Pattaya The Blues Factory also has a jam night every sunday from 10pm.'
I'll mention the jam at the Blues Factory to anyone at the Nomads jam going down there, or will try to make it myself if I get a Sunday off. We are just getting back to regular Sundays again - hope to see you some time.

To all jammers, musicians, and everybody else who likes good music and cheap beers.
We jam every sunday night from 9.30 - 'til late at, Nomadsbar on Silom Soi 4 (at the end of the Soi on the right).
All are welcome, it's not limited to just blues. Anything goes.
We also have band showcases in the hour before the jam starts. Let us know in advance.
For more info, look us up on facebook: 'Sunday night jam at Nomadsbar'
Happy hour prices all night.
See you there.

Thanks for that. Would like to meet other musicians but don't know how a solo guitarist would join in.
You're welcome to play solo, or with the backing band, we know quite a few tunes - we'll try and play something you know.

Musicians/Singers welcome to jam every Sunday from 9:00pm onwards at: Nomads, 108 Silom, Soi 4. Nearest BTS: Sala Daeng.
The house band (guitars, bass, drums, vocals), will start things up at 9.00 every Sunday, after that the stage is open.
This will be an "open jam" and music of all genres will be welcome.
Come as a solo act, a whole band (play @20-25 minute set), or use the band as backing.

From what I've heard from a Thai who was repatriated from NY a week or so ago, 50-60k for two weeks at the higher end. A good money earner here before tourism can re-start, charge foreigners who need to get back in to work or be re-united with their families.
