  1. we are travelling back to Thailand in July for an extended holiday with two kids under 13, I had made an assumption that the usual travel insurance bought in the uk would suffice, they all claim they provide covid cover, my wife who accesses some uk thai facebook groups is reporting problems  some people have using the Thailand pass portal as its rejecting some well know UK insurance policies(post office & AA), is this a common problem or I am i being misled?

  2. I received an email this morning notifying me that my 3rd July booking London to Bangkok has Been cancelled, my wife’s saying there are reports of cancellations well into July. No offer of alternative flights, just advised to contact agent or Thai customer services.
I had July internal flights cancelled a couple of weeks ago and the best response I,ve had from Thai Is that refunds will take up to six months.

Running legitimately? I don't think so. Looks like Great Thai restaurant used to be there..

    Google Street Map location

Still not convinced? Let's look at their other address...in a residential apartment; 174 Bradstowe House

In this case, it seems the buyers just bypassed every possible safety net open to them.

Ignorance is bliss until the poop hits the fan.

I agree, but they were issuing valid tickets up until a few days ago, I would never use such a site.. my wife in on the phone right now to friends affected.. the friend saw her booking via thai airways site a few weeks ago and thought all was well...

Why would anyone book with them anyway?

No sign of ABTA/ATOL/IATA....nothing. No excuse for giving money to such a shoddy operation.

Indeed, they had been running legitimately for a couple of years and gotten themselves a good reputation, but it’s all unravelled. Some very distraught families being caught out at Heathrow wanting to travel for Easter/songkran, we fly out tonight but booked direct with Thai..

OP as some have posted, you are in position of having readily available non o that would suit your needs. Forget convoluted plans re border entry points etc suggested. 3 visits a year (most likely because still working home country). Coming for quality time to visit wife and lids. Using TV and VE? What the!

Thanks for the reply, we do live and work in UK and are fortunate enough to be able to travel during school breaks, the wife and kids are also based in UK, I have always enjoyed the simplicity of tourist visas and always enter via main airports the rest of the family have both Brit and Thai passports.

  6. My thai wife has an indefinite leave visa in a previous passport and we have regularly travelled in and out of the UK with her carrying the old passport with the visa and her new passport.

She has come across reports/rumours of this no longer being valid, I have had contradictory advice from UK officials and it seems that the final view was 'its down to imigration control' on the day we travel.

Has anybody else experienced problems or aware of any changes for Thais?
