  1. All joking aside ,there can in my opinion be no commercial reason for a tax like this so why would this tax help to upgrade the system ,any business plan for up grading the service could not be made on this sort of tax .The guy that says he has to put up his internet cafe prices by 300% is a thief, as,his prices will only need to rise by a small amount to cover the extra cost of his (usually 1) connection that is serving 6 or more machines

  2. This may be hard for some people to understand ,but why do most people seem to think that alcohol is an important part of enjoying yourself .I for one would not shed many tears if there was none anywhere ,not just Thailand ,some people may even think this is a better holiday destination when there are no young drunks about.

  3. This may very well be a bad move in conservation terms but some people who replied to this post should look at their own dietary issues, as there is little difference in meat from a cow ,a horse ,a dog or an elephant and the best way to keep animals is to use them for a purpose other than just for looking at, that way there is an economic reason to keep them and business will find a way to make them flourish. How many cows or sheep would there be if we didn't eat them.I personally don't eat much meat (personal taste not political outlook)but see the necessity of animals for food and one animal is much like another

  4. hi all It is my opinion that pattaya is not a destination for families,as far as the "entertainments" go they are not realy for children the beach is not very clean neither is the sea,the hotels for the most part(there are some exceptions)are full of single men.If they clear out 75% of the adult "entertainment"it would still be a poor venue for kids,if they are very young you might get away with it as very young kids dont need a lot only somewhere to play, but older kids(9+)need constant distraction and pattaya does not have that

  5. It is a terrible thing that the Japanese Flight Attendent and this Chinese Lady were both accosted by taxi drivers but the same thing happens in Manila almost on a daily basis to foreigners and I'm sure in London, New York, Los Angeles and perhaps even Sydney.

sorry to say it but you are wrong about london cabbies at least, these guys go thro so many hoops to get their badges and are so regulated that i cant remember the last time a licenced cabbie was done for anything except DUI so get the cabbies licenced in a way that weeds out the phycos and criminals and then you will travel in safty
