I suspect that another reason for the relatively low response to the disaster, is that many people know that not only will some of their donation be 'stolen' by the few incredibly rich in the country, but they also know that pretty much none of it will reach the women who need help.... Even their husbands will put their needs way above their wives. Sad but true in the rura...
