  1. In the midst of a relationship breakup i have unfortunately been separated from my UK passport with my Non-O visa and entry stamp, and am due to fly back to the UK on Sunday night.

Due to work demands i do have a second UK passport, minus any visa or entry stamp. I have tried contacting the UK Embassy and Barry Kenyon here in Pattaya but all seem to down tools at lunchtime. I have already got a police report.

It seems i will only have tomorrow morning to sort it out, and would appreciate any advice on the following:

    • Can Jomtien Honary Consulate (Barry Kenyon) provide the nessecary documentation for Immigration? or should i visit the Brit Embassy in BKK?
    • Can Jomtien Immigration process my second passport for departure? or do i need to go to BKK?

In a nut shell do i need to travel to BKK to sort it out or can Barry/Jomtien help me out?

    Cheers.

  2. to all on here that reside in Pattaya and have a problem with Howard and the FPV....

how's about you go and tell him your concerns instead of being really brave and hiding behind your keyboards whilst rubbishing him...

the pics were a chuckle and i'm sure he would not be offended :o

    Have to agree there.

    :D

Rather than bravely hide behind a uniform with badges for "parachuting and pistol shooting"?????

    :D:D:D:wai:

  3. This paragraph from a Bangkok Post report on the Pattaya Volunteer Tourist Police last month includes all you need to know about the mindset of people who join up to serve and protect:
Mr Miller says new recruits undergo three days of training before the three-month probation period and are from countries as diverse as China, India, Norway and Pakistan. Some undergo further training to qualify as parachutists and undergo a practical pistol shooting course, said Mr Miller, although these skills are not necessary for the job. A few of them even sported badges showing they had qualified in these areas on their uniforms.

Badges, cool. Couldn't hack it as a Boy Scout, then join the Pattaya Tourist Police.

    Spot on mate :D

Its probable that some of these guys volunteer their time for the best of reasons, but unfortunately i think all the bad press is somewhat deserved.

I personally find their costumed posturing rather irritating and pathetic, definately giving off the completely wrong vibe in relation to their purpose.

Whilst the town is awash with serious crime, why oh why are they so interested in the poor Uzbek girls? I suppose the free shag had nothing to do with it! :o

  4. Hi all,

Due to the nature of my work i currently have two UK passports, however due to unforseen circumstances i am currently in LOS on the wrong one. Basically i have an unused multientry Non-O visa dated from June in my other passport, but am here in country on a 28 day stamp.

I know i could fly out on the current stamp and re-enter on the Non-O but is possible/advisable to do this on a border run to Cambodia?

    Cheers!
