hi, i have been in thailand for a few months, i always use the bank of ayudhya atms as they have never before put the usual 150bht charge on me withdrawing my money from my nationwide uk debit card,
however yesterday that all changed, so like all other atms i have come across i now have to pay a 150bht per transaction fee with them, does anyone know why this has suddenly happened or know of other thai bank atms that wont put the 150bht fee on each time i withdraw my money..
thanks in advance

i had already applied for my single entry 90 day visa, just needed the info for if i do decide to stay longer but will probably be returning when my 90 days are up, knowing i can get a 2 entry tourist visa in laos if i do want to stay is good news..
i have go the non-o visa with 1 entry valid for 90 days for purpose of extended stay / visiting friends..On what basis are you getting the non-o visa. There might be other options if you tell us that. Why not apply for a multiple entry 'O' visa or a double entry tourist visa?
Then you will have no problem if you wish to stay longer than 90 days.

thank you very much for your info
No other options than getting a tourist visa. I was hoping it was for something other than visiting friends. The nearest place you can get another one of those is Perth Australia. You can get a 2 entry tourist visa in Vientiane Laos for free. With this visa you will get 2 entries of 60 days that can be extended 30 days giving a total stay of about six months.
Here is link to a 49 page topic about Vientiane visa runs. Start on the last page and work your way back a few pages for a lot of useful info. http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/Vientiane-La...tml&st=1200

i am traveling on a non immigrant 'o' visa that allows only 1 entry valid for 90 days, i will probably be returning when my 90 days are up however if i want to extend after my 90 days are up for another 90 days can this be arranged with a visa run company? or will i just be able to get the usual 15 / 30 day tourist visa?

i might be wrong, but i had a look on air asia and it looks like they have stopped flying this route?
Yes..Air Asia..I went from BKK to Xiamen ( about) 4 hour 30 min flight...air asia is fine..cost for me 2 years ago was about 11,000 Baht return, or $330 dollars Canadian.. -
excellent.. thanks alot for this
Cathay Pacific (with Dragonair) has a promotion if you travel in July/August. Flights are THB 9,100 plus taxes. Not bad for a great airline. I found it on www.moxtravel.com/blog. Search for Xiamen. -
looking into flights from bangkok to xiamen city, thai airways is coming up extremely expensive! does anyone know of any other airlines that fly this route that are a bit easier on the pocket?
thanks!
