Neither Grab nor Food Panda deliver at home and you have to go down the street to pick up the order.

I live in a View Talay condo. Most of the time they come up. I offer them 20 baht tip to come up. If I have to go down, no tip. It's not lazy on my part, I have to use a walker.

  2. Well, Guess I will never learn. Happened again with Shopee. I made an 450baht order and received a box with a cookie inside instead. I am unable to go downstairs in my building so had the GF go down instead to receive the item. Shopee policy is I have to go to police station and make a fraud report and fill out papers which is not going to happen. Stick with Lazada only from now on.

  3. Anyone else having delivery problems with Shopee? Twice in the last week, I ordered products and received flower seeds instead. First I ordered canned Olives and then I ordered A-1 sauce. Different sellers. Both times I was sent flower seeds instead. The problem today was I gave a friend money to pay the driver for A-1 sauce and when it was delivered he paid for it, not knowing it was flower seeds. I'm sure I am not the only one this is happening to.

If its true that 5 mg is available now that's good news for me as my.dose is 10 so I could take 2.

My recent topic was about pharmacies including Fascino saying that they had nothing and couldn't even order it and didn't know when they could

Hello Jingthing. My girlfriend brought the last box of 5mg at a pharmacy across from View Talay 5.

All ACE inhibitors have similar side effect profile (cough, GI upset etc).  The incidence  is slightly higher with enalapril but difference is no huge and most people tolerate enalapril just fine. It will likely cost much less than perindopril.

Since you have already been on an ACE without apparent problems I would not be unduly worried about taking either one.

Hello Sheryl. As I am taking 40mg Lisinopril daily, what would be the equivalent mg in Enalapril?

  6. Update! GF (Thai) went to South Pattaya Driving School. Spent two days in school. Being as her license MB was over 1 year expired, she had to to do the whole thing over as if new license. Practical and written. Car license was less than one year so no driving test. The fee was 1,000bt for each, MB and Car. The tests were done at the School. After passing everything she was given a 6 month permission to drive paper. Also has a January 11th appointment at DLT to have picture taken and pick up new "5-year" license. This is for Thai persons only. Foreigner requirements are different.

  7. GF just noticed her driving license expired a year and a half ago. While there is an amnesty to renew as offices closed, does this also mean no insurance if accident? She tried on line, but no appoints until April next year. ?? Thanks

actually since 2003 in Thailand if I am not mistaken, all stores must accept credit cards, part of the OECD initiative to stop money laundering with cash etc...

as for VISA agreement, yes, if they carry the VISA logo, they must accept all versions of payments with a VISA card, they can't refuse. That's in theory, in practice, we all know rules means nothing in Thailand.

the VISA agreement is standard, if you accept VISA, then all cards with a VISA logo must be accepted.

If an insurance agency is not concerned about following Visa agreement, I just wonder now ho they would be about paying out claims? Time to check out other options.

  9. I have a KasiKorn Visa debt card. I went in to pay my annual MB premium and was told by the merchant (insurance agent) they only accepted Visa credit cards and not Visa debt cards. I was under the impression that if you accepted Visa payment, it was credit or debt. Does the merchant have the right to accept one and not the other if they both are Visa? Just curious.

  10. I'm also having customs problems which Ive never had before. My problem is with FedEx. I had a friend send me some supply's for my CPAP machine. I paid extra 3day delivery and now its been two weeks tied up in Customs and I have to register as an importer. Need to pay a Broker to take my passport to Customs for inspection. I learned a lesson. If not C.O,D. I wont have anything sent here anymore. I will just let them keep the package. Its a 1lb package. It cost me $113 to 3 day send it and now they latest estimate from broker is another 3,900 baht (duty is only 431 baht) to pick up my passport and get the package. I don't like the idea of a broker taking my passport. To many hoops to jump through. I'm 79 years old and don't get around very good anymore.
