They are selling it at 120,000 per m2.

Paypal is good but the chargs is preety high for 3.5 percent and they make money on the conversion rate too. I have heard there are other companies that offer cheaper rates. Any rec?

THanks, ANy idea if the True wifi cover the area in Silom and sukhumvit. I have seen the wifi provided by True tag all over the place and was wandering whether it works.

Guys i am using a Pc and dont wanna buy a laptop for it having a wifi.

I will be using a PC in Silom area and was wandering is there anyway to connect the PC to internet at highspeed without setting up an agreement with TOT or True for a fixed one year since will use the PC for internet just few months.

Me looking for hi-speed net i guess the dialup internet also would need phone connection and me got no phone connection.

I love to eat thai food and especially the area i am at have plenty of things to eat.

I dont wanna be fat but i want my stomach to be filled or in short dont wanna be hungry or tempted to eat other stuff.

Is there any thing that people would recommend that would fill stomach and gain no weight.

Hey one of my friends has asked me to deposit money in australia currency since the chance of it shooting back to normal is high. I would want to know if Aus dollar as fixed deposit with interest given the same thing like that is availble in singapore is availble here in Bangkok?

Propably they will work for a year or two. But if you are used to Nokia or other brand phones then you will have hard time using them as the menus and other functions are complicated to use. Also battery life is not good, you end up recharging fairly often...

I would say to live comfortably with what I would call semi-western life style in regard to accomodation, dining out, quality entertainment, central location. would say between 250k to 400k per month is reasonable including insurances, retirement planning etc.

For example decent seats at the currently playing CHICAGO musical for you and your mrs would set you back 8000THB. Few drinks afterwards with some decent jazz at the sheraton 2000 plus dinner before hand at a fairly decent Italian including wine 5000. Total for the night out 15000THB. Or Noodles on the sidewalk plus a movie and a coffee at starbucks afterward 600THB.

As always it depends how you currently live and how you wish to live when you get here.

Bangkok is getting expensive and there is no 1 dollars starbuck for a coffee here.. You will need to go the the roads. to get that.

Earlier you would get chicken peper from MCdonald at 19 Baht and they got 3 flavours in beef and pork too. They dont advertise it around but they got it at around 20 baht. The taste is awesome and they still have them. It taste much better than those in 7 11

Sometimes when I look at ads for condos for sale it says that taxes are paid by the seller or taxes 50/50. What taxes is this?

No need to pay tax while buying . I think will have to pay while transfering and stuff.

A lady I knew received insurance payout after the death of her farang husband and deposited over 5 million Baht into her Bangkok bank account.

After a month or so she started to get letters from charities canvassing for donations. When she only had a small bank balance, she did not get these letters, so is it a coincidence that they started after her balance increased so much?

The only conclusion that can be drawn is that the Bangkok Bank realeased her name and address as someone with a healthy bank balance.

In Thailand everything is possible. I would say get close to one of the bankers help him by putting in some money or something and then he can help you. You will need to put some petrol in the car for the car to start running:) i hope you get that.
