  1. Thanks ubonjoe.

Tourist tripple entry will probably be a goer then... although the elite program would be awesome it's a little out of my price range smile.png

Not trying to be flippant, but you are not working, but want to stay in Thailand and cannot afford the Elite program. What exactly are your financial resources to do so ?

My financial resources are none of your business. Also, the fact that not everyone wants to or even can spend £10,000 on a visa shouldn't be a major surprise.

  2. Hi,

What would be the best option for a visa to apply for from the uk?

I was thinking of an ED Visa but don't really want to go to school (I know all the thai I want to know really). I see you can get a tripple entry tourist visa from the UK, how long can that be extended for? Is it 9 months or a year?

It's a pain with visas if you're not married, not working and too young to get a retirement visa! smile.png

    Thanks...

  3. Thanks for the replies...

Read 777/2551 as the income or not requirement is by the category of extension of stay you qualify for. As you do not seem to want to tell us we really can not help.

It's not that I don't want to tell you... I just was asking for a list so I could check myself.

It was scuba diving instructor, the reason I'm asking for this information is to make sure I'm not being over charged by my accountant.

    Many thanks...

  4. Don't know what price range you're looking for but take a look at the Nong Nooch Tropical Gardens website. There's a range of rooms/bungalows from 1,300 upwards. Accommodation prices used to include entry to the gardens and shows (around 400 baht per person) which would make it really good value, but I'm not sure if this is still the case. http://www.nongnooch...our07_Hotel.php

(for some reason I can't paste the link)

Also, Sunset Park and Sunset Village have websites. These resorts are right on the beach and pretty pricey (from around 4,500 per night I think) but really nice.

    Sunset Park

In Bang Saray village I've seen a couple of cheaper looking resorts (well, just groups of bungalows to rent) but I think you'd need to drive into the village and call in for a price.

If you are after something at the really cheap end (600 - 700 per night) I know a place just outside the village (about 2km or so from the beach) with fan-only bungalows and a nice restaurant around a small lake. I can PM directions if you like.

Just found a website for one of the resorts mentioned above www.willkris.com

Yep Wilkris is ok but depends on his price range. I know Siam Court is nice according to bangsaraythailand.com

  5. Check firewall settings; open ports in router, maybe DMZ.

Try a different port, setup on the target site if possible.

Thanks for the reply... I should have mentioned I'm on a shared apartment wireless connection so unable to mess with the router... time to move maybe! :)

  6. Hi,

I have major problems doing FTP uploads with 3BB. Does anyone else?

I've tried many different FTP clients and even booted into Linux to try but still getting timeouts. It does work sometimes but it's completely random, maybe not working 99% of the time.

Interested if anyone experiences the same.
