I went to a Toyota dealer today, it was a small dealer in Central Rama 3, seems like he had no clue, gave me a Toyota number to call.

The thai map is and was never mapsource compatible.Keep in mind that it mapsource files are a completely different format as the file you put on your unit.

Reason herefore I think is that mapsource is a garmin application and garmin purchased the thailand map from esri which is a separate company.

However since version 8.1,we are now version 9.0,the map can not any more purchased from garmin.

So if Garmin doesn't have a map of Thailand, what's the best GPS to buy? I had been looking at the 885T for the voice recognition stuff...don't want to have to stop to change things.

The esri thailand map is in my opinion the most detailed map available and can be installed on garmin units but does not have a mapsource version
