  1. For those of us who can, today's events have put even more pressure on the Thai Red Cross. The website shows that they particularly need Rhesus Negative but I am sure given that they have had a shortage for a number of months all donations will be appreciated. I have searched for a contact number here in Pattaya (maybe the mods with their contacts can advise?) to no avail?

  2. Due to electricity work by the Pattaya Provincial Electricity Authority, there is no power in the area and consequently the lights at the junction of 3rd road are not working. Absolute chaos already and best avoided. Went off at 09.10 and due to return early evening of the 24th. Only upside I get a day out of the office!

  3. Good Morning,

Try PK Cleaning 038 333 233, I have used them often in the past for 'one offs' but book early as they are usually very busy. You can discuss exactly what you want and more importantly negotiate the price smile.png

  4. Photo shop on Nuen Plub Wan. If you are coming from the Sukhumvit, over railway, past petrol station on the right, after approximately 500 meters on the left hand side - look up for a big yellow Kodak sign. If you get to the baby shop on the right hand side you have gone too far. Sorry I have not got their card with me so no phone number. Good luck.

  5. Not sure about Pattaya central as I work there and do not want to go back into town with the kids of an evening. If you are out near Lake Mabprachan - Serenity used to be The Peacock Resort has pictures and colouring pens etc - well did on the Sunday I went for lunch, Fisherman's has a playground but can get a little boisterous when the "boys" are in. Mediterranean Garden Resort has a nice garden with a sala and a climbing frame for the little ones to play on. I am told that The Punch and Judy is good for Sunday lunch with small people but can't personally comment. If you have the budget The Hilton does a Sunday Brunch where they have a kid's club - they take them away and make pizzas, colouring etc. Hope this helps

  6. Can someone tell me what has happened to La Grotta Italian and Pizzaria on Mappilla soi 28 (just outside Pattaya Paradise Village 2 near to where the old Titty Twister biker bar was located)? I took the family there last week (albeit very early at around 16.30) as the children wanted lasagne and previously we have had excellent meals and service. Both lasagnes were dry and had very little meat content and whilst used to food appearing at the table at various times, it did seem odd that the two lasagnes came up 10 minutes apart? I bet on a pork scallop with spaghetti and tomato sauce, the pork was tough and yet raw (still oinking) in the middle. Has the place changed hands, is the owner away, did I just hit it at a bad time i.e. early evening? I did try to offer positive feedback but was met with an attitude I have never experienced in that particular restaurant before but then never have had to comment before. So glad I checked it out before my family arrived at the weekend as I would have been embarrassed had I taken them there. Any feedback much appreciated as it was a handy Italian option in my local area.

  7. Pay it forward. Had an experience here when I ran out of petrol (my fault) and someone came to my aid - my stupidity (good lesson learned) have tried to repay both for Westerners and Thai ever since.
