  1. My wife is Thai. We moved to Thailand years ago from the US with our US born son. He entered Thailand on an American passport and has been on O-visa ever since. He has his Thai ID and birth Certificate. We are getting his Thai passport this week. After he has his Thai passport can I simply fly him to Malaysia and back into Thailand and he enter with his Thai passport?

    Thanks

  2. Strange i can find it no problem in Pattaya and Chiang Mai at any Pharmacy .I ask for Lisinopril .

In Pattaya i payed B180 for 30 tabs of 5 mg .In Chiang Mai China town a bargain B95 for the same .

I can't seem to find it anywhere around here. Maybe I'll try the Sukhumvit area. Seems strange that I could not find it since it's one of the most perscribed treatments fo hypertention. Had no problem finding HTCZ. Do they call it by another name here?

  3. I have the same issue and it would be nice to get a clear answer from someone who has gone through this process.

    Questions:

    1. If my child leaves on the US passport and returns on the Thai passport will there be an issue entering Thailand since you did not leave on the Thai passport?

    2. Will there be an issue at the Thai airport when we decide to travel back to the US. I know they check your passport at the ticketing counter and if they notice that you have no valid Thai visa on the US passport there will be an issue right?

    3. Seems the olny way is to maintain a 1 year visa on my US passport for this to be legal. My wife also explained that immigration told here that this was the only way. Does anyone have a different story?

    Thanks

  4. The child will be between the both of us. 5 yro, USA born, but has a Thai birth certificate. I have tried everything to influence the relationship in a positive direction, but to no avail. The arguments are occurring more often in front of the children. 2 step children she had prior to our marriage. They also have me as their only support as the Thai "father" has done 0 for them. We came very close to separating in the States years ago. I could not muster up the strength to escape as her children had just come to the States and were doing so well in school. I wanted things to work, but the time bomb was ticking.

I can get a multi entry visa based on my US born child with his Thai birth certificate? I like to be here for all the children. Sorry for the rant!

  5. Hello all,

    URGENT!!! Need some sound advise.

After being married for 10 years our problems have come to a head and we must separate quickly before violence occurs. I'm in Thailand on an "O" visa for the first time after living in the States our whole marriage and would like to stay even after we separate as we have children here that I would like to be present for. I'm 36 years old. There is no affair goin on and no prospetive relationship. This is just your run of the mill marrital issues and we both are fed up!!! Is it possible for me to go it alone and get an apartment without her there to sign papers? What are some of the problems I might run into. I have no money issues at all... Please HELP!!pulling-hair-out.gif

  6. 1. You may have to obtain onward ticket within 30 days to get on aircraft so check that out and/or allow extra time.

    2. For finding bank is is a try the next one approach. Different branches will treat you differently. Your wife should be able to help as often they like a reference. Take your marriage paperwork with you so they know you are a long term player.

    3. KL would like to see 100k but even less has worked. Have marriage certificate/copy of wife ID card and short note from her asking that visa be issued. Birth certificates of children also.

    4. Have to apply in morning and pick up next workday early afternoon.

    Thanks,

I do have a return ticket so that's not a problem. So once I get the bank account funded I go right to KL. I don't have to wait 2 months?

  7. Going to Iran is not an option, but thanks...

OK, so this is where I stand. I'll be coming to Thailand the first week in December. I'll get the 30 day visa exempt stamp as I'm a US citizen. I will be joining my wife and children and will be there until March. I will then fly to the states for a week and return to Thailand. I do not have a Thai bank account yet, but do have the 400,000 THB available from my bank in the States. So my questions now are:

Is there a recommended bank that will allow me to open an account with just the 30 day stamp?

Once I have the money wired can I immediately fly out the KL and get a multi entry "O" visa?

How long will I be in KL?

Do they need to see 400,000 or 100,000 on my bank book?

I know some of the questions are already answered in the forum so please bare with me. Just trying to get it right the first time...

    Peace
