My wife and I did go back and see the supervisor and the reply was that we needed to have 50,000 baht in the bank plus my income of 33,000 baht per month. I am retired 52 years of age. We were very polite.

I heve been married to a Thai lady now for 3 years and have applied for a visa each year using 200,000 in the bank. This year I applied with 200,000 in the bank but subsequently used the money to purchase a vehicle. My application came back
denied. I then went back to immigration with a notrarized income statement of 33,000 baht per month. I was told that I would need 50,000 baht in my account as well as my income. I was under the impression that you need 200.000 in the bank or an income exceeding 20,000 per month. Whats the deal?. Can I appeal this decision? At the present time I don't have the 50,000. This all took place in Chiangmai. I had to go to Maesai to obtain a 1 month extention. Bummer. I hope someone can point me in the right direction.

Thank you very much for your suggestions, they are greatly appreciated. I have two more questions. What is a TRT MP and where do I find one? Thank you for your time.
