crabstix
I've heard that tomorrow is teacher's day. How exactly do Thai students honour their teacher's on this day? Are teachers expected to do anything special?
The Dan Sai Kid
There is a church service among some schools in CM - thai teachers at my school go, farang staff get a day off - honoured in the finest way!!
aussiestyle1983
Our students honour us by staying home for the day, meaning us teachers also get to stay home Edited January 15, 2007 by aussiestyle1983
The Dan Sai Kid
Last year we had Wan Wai Kru - and we had a ceremony where all the teachers sat on stage and the children sit and look at us. Everyone sings the national anthem and the school song, then selected students offer alms to the teachers. They get a story about how great teachers are and then we go back to class. I think there were activities that day and class was suspended - but unlike tomorrow, we had to stay at school. PS. I reserve the right to make grammatical errors!
