Sawasdee krabb phee phee took khon,

Just moved here since last yrs, Nov. but i was work in hotel so i didn't see much about world out here. lately just changed job and been out to rent my own room and also cruise around.

seem pattaya transportation very ripp off for me. who said bath bus is for thai 5 bath. i never can paid that's cost. many times driver seem to have fight with his wife before so he didn't stop at where that I press ... he's gave me more extra mils to walk back. ... since he been so that's kind to me everytime i still said "thank you" for the kind of service ... i can seriously count about 60 percent of the ppls here who's serve customer said thanks.

talk about motorbike .... i learn from my own ex ... don't ask them 'tao rai' (how much) but u gotta try to be little dumb for a bit to guess how far u been drive "about this 20 baht ...mostly short way price start up with 20 baht ...

i use to work near by Taksin Bridge, North Sathorn Surasak BTS .. motorbike there to go AIA HQ branch is 20 baht. if we bring one motorbike guy here he would tell u ... "60 baht mr".

once about hangout ... if u have farang friend visit no matter they are boys or girls ... if u just walk in the club together u paid same same ripp off price ..

why don't make it like kaosarn ? or sukhumvit ?

dam_n same single price ... pattaya girls got such a lot of money. some of them i even saw they have bottle on whisky or champaign on table ...

i miss gulliver kaosarn beer 75 baht and sminoff breeze 90 baht. well i still hang out with thais friend here even i know soon she leaving me. also some other night if i hang out with my gay's friend ... (who's sitll look like a man) he's paid same price ... me too 180 baht for 1 bottle.

f.. it we just wanna dance

still gotta learn alot more about here.

they should make reality survivor here .... :o

Welcome to the Pattaya forum.

Hotel work can be looooooong hours for sure. trust you can find plenty of things to do outside your hotel, though.

There is plenty to do in Pattaya, whether Thai or farang, whether tourist or resident.

The problem is - it all costs money!

I'm sure a lot of the guys here can put you on to things that don't cost, or cost very little.

Again, welcome.

Nice to hear that even the thais start to realise that falangs get ripped off. :D

i started to realise this since 2002 my first travel trip on my own to koh phangan. i was sat in group of boys, 2 austrians and 1 italian, 2 germans, 1 american and canadian couple. at mae head (near by koh mah) were talk about pricy rate and thais and farang price. let's make it easy ... thai boxing there (that time) ticket was 500 baht. finally thai guide (local guy) come and whispering me "u going boxing ? i take u inside free!" ... all guide actually get in for free cuz the bring customer in. but local ppls paid ticket 20 baht each.

i did pay 500 also same ... but i just think about how 'kind' the business goes on? is his call Siam Thailand the famous country that tourist said "thais ppls is so nice and kind", guess this country still can found in the map but the local people like the advertise said never really visable in the "TOURIST AREA". must really need to go somewhere far far away, like Pai or Laos. there are all same price as my friend and I have been. well actually Laos also a bit ripp off too, even noodle or sweet sticky rice in bamboo. i spoke thai ... it was 600 Keep, next gal from me spoke laos 200 Keep, <deleted> (:o)

last good example again, bring it back to Pattaya.

Newbie club that I kinda like Mix club, Balihi Pier plaza, price there are 50 percent off for thais, but if u didn't ask them for what advertise said they gave u full price all time. i calculate that in 1 night must be lot of drunk ppls been spent lot of money.

it's no point to talk about cuz things wont' change anyway but ... all i need was just pillow for scream sometime, .. only got 2

cheers fella

what you point out is nothing new to most of us on the board and truly annoying - if you search this (and possibly other) board you will find 100s of posts complaining about double pricing. Glad to hear that a Thai is also feeling uncomfortable with this method.

I for one object it to the point that I do not visit any places that use double pricing and the Baht buses get from me the same money as from a Thai, i.e. the rates indicated on the bus. When the drivers start making a problem, they have to deal with my wife. That is worse than dealing with me... :o
