  1. The annually-renewables are worried about the Thai Revenue’s recent reinterpretation. Section 41 of the tax code, long ignored but now required, means that Thai tax residents (anyone spending more than 180 days in a year here) must obtain a tax identification number and fill in a tax form not later than March 2025 to cover their overseas income transmitted to Thailand in the calendar year 2024. If that income was pre-taxed in the first country which had a double taxation treaty with Thailand, and can be proved by documentation, it is unlikely the cash will be taxed again in Thailand.😃😃😃 Source: https://www.pattayamail.com/latestnews/news/does-thailand-really-want-humble-expats-any-more-462482
  2. Thai women do not have morals so be on alert if they found you "nice" and they want to date with you! You are a "golden fish" as a foreigner for Thais and they are searching for "usufull idiots".
  3. I cannot understand since foreigners in Thailand have foreign citizenships and not Thai citizenship then what right does the "Kingdom" of white collars bureaucrats in Thailand have to tax a citizen of a foreign State? By what right are they going to open up tax accounts at Tax Office Authorities especially for foreign citizens of other States since they do not have the right to vote? Thai Authorities do not have any rights asking personal inquiries income origin for pensioners of foreign countries since they have paid and they are paid at their Bank accounts at their home countries. Complex types of perverse people want to implement such unacceptable mesaures who are jealous because their compatriots live abroad and "having fun" instead of staying at their home countries watching the parade of illegal entrance immigrants from Ukraine -Pakistan -Bangladesh -India and the half Africa continent who used European ready and rich social systems and destroyed it. (free lunch.....other taxable citizens pay for you.....) There is illegal and unregulated linking to combine foreign nationals' incomes in Thailand with your local internal affairs Law and I think the measure is designed to crack down especially for Τhai nationals with double foreign citizenships who bring untaxed often "laundered money" in Thailand region for the already property bubble. Ιt will create thousands of complaints from foreign pensioners to the Human Rights Agency Procecutor for discrimination and double illegal taxation of declared income at their origin countries. Except current Thai Prime Minister Mr Shrettha failled in his intenal affairs financial policy and he wants to be replaced from the opposition Party Mr Pita.
  4. They should be fire from their post or at least to move away in another post of the airport in order both to be under surveilance of their chief.
  5. Actually there are three priorities mehod to send money with Wise (I have Revolut) Wise: the speed of your currency transfer will depend on a range of factors including how you pay (debit and credit card is fastest) and the type of transfer you choose, where you’re sending the cash and the currency. Wise has three transfer speed options at different prices with the ‘fast and easy transfer’ costing the most Advanced transfer – funds arrive within one to three working days Low cost transfer – funds arrive within three to 24 hours Fast and easy transfer – funds arrive within 3 to 5 hours Check out it at your Wise account which transfer΄s method you selected because I am sure its not Wise problem but your preselected method of payment. Be patient dont worry your money is safe. 7. Although I smoked and I have quitted smoking since 2000 years but at Suvarnabhumi airport I witnessed an episode between two ladies from France and a rude idiot employee from Thai Tax Authorities (at 2015 year). The ladies was crying because outside of the airport Thai FBI idiots arrest them to.......check out their unique middle size baggage and finally they found that they carry two small boxes of Marlboro cigarettes they had bought from Doha airport. As European citizen I intervene to calm the ladies and stop idiots of Thai Customs to pulled them out of their hands. Τhe main issue was that ladies have bought as I referred two small boxes (20 packets) of Marlboro cigarettes from Doha and they didnt pay Thai......import taxes. Thai idiots of Customs try to arrest me (I was neutral observer) but I pushed him away the idiots who didnt know his rights furthermore I notified him that only Policeman can arrest me do you want to call him? Only Policeman can search anyone in public space and nobody else as well as to ask your name or personal details and nobody else. I was carryng a big suitcase that was empty because I was going to stay in Bangkok for 6 months at my job so I wanted to buy many things when I will return back at my home country. The smart idiot guy from Thai Custom considered that I may carry illegal things and he demands to search me as punishment because I had tried to calm Frances ladies who were crying and shoutting. I again notified him that only Policeman can order me in public space outside of the airport as well as to search my clothes and you are not authorized to do it. I inquiry you again do you want to call Policeman to search me here no problem by me but if you touch me I will break your arms. I finally call Policeman explaining him what was going on with Thai idiot from Custom and I forced him to search my clothes opening voluntary by suitcase. Αs I have already referred my suitcase was empty and his head a Thai lady assistant custom Officer asked me why my suitcase was empty simultaneusly showing me the camera recorder at the ceilling of her office. I aswered her give me your money madam to buy many things in order next time to be completed full telling to camera recorder at the ceiling of her office "chao Bella". When I was finally free I asked the two Frances lady who were under arrest if they pay them any fine and told me that they paid .......€500 for 20 packets of Marlboro cigarettes from Doha airport. We exchanged our phone numbers to make some calls at my Thai Jewish friends who live in Bangkok in order custom office to declare unpaid the fine and to return them back all the amount of their money. It is noticable that I was a neutral observer in this horrible unacceptable stance from an idiot of Thai custom office outside of airport and not involved in any illegal things because my suticase was absolutely empty but the "smart" idiot guy from Thai custom office tried to punish me because I intervened to chill out Frances ladies who was crying and shouting at Suvarnabhumi airport. It is more noticable to see how quickly they returned them back all the fine €500 at France ladies Bank account furthermore I am not sure if they offer them........... coffee and sweets "ladies -madam we are deeply sorry etc" dull bubble sh....ts and all of that I owe a great thanks to my Thai Jewish friends at Bangkok. (nice and very- very coincius guys and gilrs) We love and respect Thailand but we also demand Thailand to love and respect us as much as we love them!🙂
  8. I wish you a good start in your new life as a Thai citizen but make sure to clarify your feelings because Thai women have no morals when it comes to marriage............ Taking Thai citizenship its not so hard but its not so easy because in both cases interviewers in order to examine your Thai language skills are asking you "easy questions" as well as making humor in order you will be comfortable and proud of your personal choice. You are well come to live with us is the motto for those legals foreign citizens who want to obtain Thai citizenship. Close your eyes and ears for disappointed commets from....."locals" and sit down to read and speak Thai language because in Greece there are many Greeks who learn to speak basic ......Chinese in one year but the main problem for them is to......write Chineses.......it needs up to three years of study because its not in latin alphabet. Ιf you are mute or deaf I suppose it will be easier to obtain any.....citizenship ....... How to apply for Thai Citizenship | Siam Legal

  10. Source: https://www.pattayamail.com/latestnews/news/thailands-new-visa-rules-from-june-1-break-fresh-ground-461766
  11. Thailand’s new visa rules from June 1 break fresh ground Nationals from 93 countries – including Brits, EU citizens, Americans, Australians – will now receive a no-charge, 60 days visa-exempt stamp on entering as opposed to the current 30 days. There are also implications for Thai Revenue’s policy “clarification” 🙃to tax the overseas income of tax residents – namely anyone staying in the country more than 180 days in a calendar year. Using a combination of the new 60 days rule, plus a couple of border runs, it would easily be possible for individuals to clock up more than six month residence without having any visa at all. Thus the idea that Thai Revenue can identify potential tax residents by the type of visa they have is faulty. Enforcement of the new Revenue regulations is still unclear🙃 to say the leas In a separate development from September 1, the minimum medical insurance rule for “0/A” visa retirees – those who initially obtained that visa from a Thai embassy – will return to 400,000 baht inpatient and 40,000 baht outpatient cover to replace the current 3 million baht plus or US$100,000. There is no indication that a cash substitute for insurance will be permitted,🙃 nor any sign yet that the current insurance exemption for retirees extending an “0” visa will end.🙃 Overall, the new visa policy according to the Cabinet is to raise sorely-needed revenue from tourists and expats 🙃by making life easier for the end users. The aim is to welcome 80 million overseas visitors by 2027, more than double the current total. Source: https://www.pattayamail.com/latestnews/news/thailands-new-visa-rules-from-june-1-break-fresh-ground-461766 If I understand it is clear that the "subsitute" of paid tourists or non tourists visas will be medical mafia the hidden shadow untaxed "economy" and black money of already medics bubble. Foreign Embassies and Consultans in collaboration with current Thai seven party coallition government ought to publish available medical facilities for foreigners with low cost (accidents) treatments before they depart at their home countries. Those who wants to stay for longer expensive medical treatments to pay higher "premiums" and "minimum" rates. I have traveled to Thailand since 2010 year every year for periods between 3 months until 6 months for both purposes tourism and jobs and thanks God I had no illness or accidents. If I had paid mandatory private medical insurance in your hidden shadow medical untaxed "economy" I would had given thousands of euros for useless things of the already medics bubble. Your insured / unisured civilians pay the same medical bills for medical service? Please try to make foreigners Thai friends and not "clients" in your already bubbly hidden shadow "economy" of medics. Corona period taught all of us first to be human beings and not 'tools" in our already "bubbly paper economy"!
  12. Dear Sir I am neither an expert to offer you any advice nor a medic to help you in something but I am Greek civilian who have been visiting Thailand since 2010 year. I advice you to return back at your home country in order to complete your medics problems and surgery furthermore to stay at your home country for 3 additional months in order to be examined in full check ups from medic specialists and if you take your clearance that your medical record is okay then you are again well come to return back in Thailand healthy and powerfull. Do not trust your health status in "premiums" and "minimum" in foreign local medical mafia because sooner or later you will regret it. Medics health insurance is the new "shadow" untaxed economy they are not angels..... Dont pay additional "premiums" in medical mafia because our lovely Thailand under of the current term of Prime Minister Mr.Shrettha medical mandatory insurance policy for those above 50s have been tranformed similar to banana third world countries for the average tourists. ( I omit discriminations....among ages......). As an already mature tourism country in Southeast Asia I expected from the current Prime Minister and his appointee Health Minister Mr Somsak in collaboration with locals western Embassies in Bangkok to offer available list of medical facilities in Bangkok and mainland (the rest big cities of the Kingdom) which will offer medical assistance at short period of time for those tourist who have been accidentally hit from not serious illness. Human rights activists support illegal immigrants who do not have paid anything for health contribution in accomodation new selected countries and Thailand refuse to treat a legal foreign civilian like "you" and "me" at first grade level who both make our choice to stay in Thais for many years and contribute to their economy? The real problem is not your age 70 year old but Thais private medics mafia who see all visitors in this beautiful Kingdom as a "golden fish" after corona fairy tale period.
  13. World Economic Forum (WEF) travel -tourism index. Tourism operators are disappointed with the government for failing to improve the country’s position in the travel and tourism development index, after Thailand dropped to 47th place, from 36th, in the latest World Economic Forum (WEF) index. The decrease was also larger than the decline seen in the 2021 index, when Thailand fell from 35th to 36th place, which was attributed to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. Among Southeast Asian nations, three countries outperformed Thailand – Singapore, which was ranked 13th, followed by Indonesia (22nd) and Malaysia (35th). Compared to 2019, Thailand also fell by six spots and lagged the global average of 117 countries by 3.9%. Thailand, which was classified as an upper-middle income country in this index, had the lowest score in tourist services and infrastructure at 2.18 of 7, while the overall index of infrastructure and services also secured a low average score of 3.61. Source: (page 11) https://www3.weforum.org/docs/WEF_Travel_and_Tourism_Development_Index_2024.pdf Greece is in 21 position +13.9% difference average 🙂🙂🙂 Do you know with just a glance to read indexes? They have very high positive deviation for European States including European zone countries (countries they do not have adopt euro as their national currensy) and the index is very low for famous destinations like Thailand comparing Thailand tourism with Lithuania -Romania -Slovenia -Georgia -Croatia. I know noone of my friends and coleagues from my work who have already visit countries like.....Georgia -Lithuania etc but instead of that they have visited one time Thailand and they are jealus because I have the chances to travel in Thailand and Malaysia. My prognosis guys say that international toursim is back again in Europe States because Greece bookings in the middle of 2024 year estimate 32 million tourist until now...........and real estate houses price are very -very low (€1.500 sq/m at the center of Athens.......).
  14. More than 200 arrested in Phuket nominee crackdown Russians account for majority of foreigners accused of using Thai nominees for businesses Ninety-eight foreign nationals, mostly Russians, were among 231 suspects arrested during a crackdown on nominee businesses in Phuket, with assets worth over 1.5 billion baht seized. Police from the Economic Crime Suppression Division (ECSD) searched accounting and real estate firms in the island province as part of the operation, Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) commissioner Pol Gen Jirabhop Bhuridej said on Friday. Charges are pending against 96 juristic persons and 135 individuals. Of the individuals, there were 98 foreign nationals, mostly Russians, and 37 Thais who acted as nominees for foreign companies, said Pol Gen Jirabhop. The individuals were later granted bail. This provision, aligned with Double Tax Treaties, can potentially reduce the tax burden on individuals by acknowledging the taxes they have already paid elsewhere.
