  1. First they need to start a cheap direct flight from HH to Suvarnabhumi.
  2. They should start with a special visa granted to all those above 50 who own property in Thailand and mainly deliver it with none of the absurd foreign health insurance requisites that ask to mention the minimun amount of coverage. Just a proof of ownership of the condo or 30yr leasehold with passport, photo and pension certificate should be enough for this special visa that could be valid 10 years with a maximum stay of 4 months each year and no absurd requirements to "requalify" each year like with the LTR visa.
  3. So is it really for the booze or mainly just for the girlies ? 😜
  4. Quite a few western countries that liberalized the substance, turned back and stopped as it generated many other societal problems on their streets.
  5. Will banks start to deduct tax at source on every foreigners bank account even if the foreigner does not stay more then 180 days ?
  6. She should have sticked to advertise her cliveage as they usually do on ONLY FANS and not try to venture out in other business ventures that are reserved for the chaps in uniform.
  7. Remember the golden rule here. Never buy. Only rent. Should it be with a lady or with property. The tax climate is changing here and the visa issues for a decent period of stay are getting worse. I would even look at other Asian countries at the end of the day.
  8. The Thai cops must be dancing in glee as here is another new means to racket unwary falang tourists.
  9. Even foreign house owners on 30 yr leasehold are seeking to sell off fast their property and leave thailand due to all the absurd immigration, tax and bank hassles that have become from bad to worse. If Thailand has some sense, they would hand out say 4 month visa free waiver stay for all foreigners who own property on lease or purchase in Thailand. If not, they will losse not only the money of these wealthy pensionners but also loose the tourism flux.
  10. Funny how many farangs seem ashamed of the looks from their thai wives and try to compensate with how their mixed children look. Time to wake up and understand for most of the Thai nationalists, anything that is not pure and fully Thai is just another this or that. All foreigners are put in the same bucket, no matter what some may claim. Be nice, respectful, polite towards all in Thailand, be them foreign or local and you'll be fine. Be rude or an arrogant flaunting your money in a vulgar manner, then no matter if full phalang or mixed blood, the locals will look down on you. Simple maths.
  11. Problem with most of those exchange boots in the airport basement is that they rarely have good stock of 100 THB notes. I always prefer to have a supply of 100's rather then flaunt aroung with a bag of 1000's as rarely people give the correct change back. Always annoying to have to look around the Suvarnabhumi basement for another bank with stock of 100 Bhat notes, after the money exchange at the booth. Apart from the digital geeks in their flip flops and absurd looks, people will always prefer ca$h to using a credit card.
  12. The rich who can afford it, are looking to India now. Country that still remains cheaper then the UK, lovely beaches in the south, top level private healthcare if one has a minimum of means, great food and ladies and mainly no hassles for visas like Thailand.
  13. All airlines who want to survive should lay off all their boeings and mainly the 787 that are just flying coffins. More and more travellers refuse to buy tickets if they see that the planes used are Boeings with all the accidents and flaws in Boeing planes.
  14. A good reminder for the rest that in Thailand never buy...always rent !!
  15. Again depends on which country. Some Thai embassies in Europe do not even bother to answer e-mails and rarely answer the phone for public questions.
