Originally founded in 2002 as ThaiVisa.com, our site began as a forum dedicated to discussing visas, immigration, and other essential topics for expats living in or visiting Thailand. Over time, our community grew, and so did our scope. We expanded into covering daily news and events from across Thailand, becoming one of the country's most visited English-language websites.

In 2015, ThaiVisa.com was acquired by Choice Group Asia, a Hong Kong-based media company, solidifying its position as a major hub for Thailand’s English-speaking community. In 2021, we rebranded as ASEAN NOW to reflect our broader focus on the ASEAN region while continuing to serve as a valuable resource for Thailand’s expats and travellers.

In 2024, ASEAN NOW became part of The Thaiger, another leading media company in Thailand, continuing our legacy of connecting expats, travelers, and locals with vital information, community discussions, and the latest news. As part of this exciting transition, we have implemented much-needed technical upgrades and adopted a fresh approach to the platform. Looking ahead, we have some exciting improvements planned to enhance the community's role as a trusted source for the latest news and reliable information.
