    Much of what is wrong in Phuket in a single video .. trailer trash tourism and tuk tuk drivers known in general for their own cheating ways, over pricing and aggressive driving habits.

    Well, there THB 1.5 Billion THB sitting right there to come out of the pockets of the consumer to the Govt. Not sure how that will help the local economy as it means less being spent in local markets and shops that may have otherwise circulated around towns and villages.

    Yep. Welcome to Phuket. The only thing unusual is a taxi moving slowly. Normally speeding, tail gating and mostly jumping the red lights. Same applies equally to the vans.

    To attract quality tourists ... you need to be an appealing destination. Phuket is simply an overcrowded concrete island with very little going for it to offer the wealthy. It is simply the Blackpool of Asia ... kiss me quick hats, sex on the beach and generally bad tolerated behaviour. Quality goes elsewhere.
