The Human Rights Commission Mr Prinya Sirisarakan represents is a government selected commission and may not be free from bias. It has been reported that many of the selected commissioners lacked experience in the field of human rights. "Article 256 of the Constitution clearly says that the human rights commissioners should have solid background and experience in the field," making the Human Rights commission both unconstitutional and unqualified.
It would seem and with some merit, that no matter how many Thai authorities they parade, only a foreign covenant will placate the global mistrust of this process.

I can't believe that you are unaware of how prevalent violent rape is in Thailand.I cannot believe someone would think or do something like that...this guy is an Animal.....
Very true, my wife is Thai and she would not walk along at night, nor would I let her, Thai women are afraid of Thai men especially in a group. They seem to have little respect for women when drunk and sadly the respect diminishes even further when the female is a farang. Thai family retribution can be a deterrent but in the heat of the moment Thai's seem to think less about consequences than most.

HI, my wife and 2 young kids just did this run last week. We went up and stopped in Chumphon and Hua Hin on the way. The roads from Surat up to Chumphon are shocking, really bad. On the way back we went cross country from Chumphon to Ranong and down the west coast. Much better and the road to Ranong has been widened as well so not the small windy road it used to be. So, Phuket -Ranong -Chumphon - Hua Hin - Bangkok ... all good, enjoy!

Hi all, I have been in and met the guys (john & Russ) yesterday. Asked them about the the table size and they have one 9ft and eight 8ft, they said the 8ft tables better suit most players and make it more fun, anyway most bars in Patong have 6ft or 7ft tables, and no one has Brunswick. I have to say (honest comment) this is a smart gaff, John took me on a tour, it will be a lovely place to play. The table cost is going to be 240bt per hour (120bt each...not bad), but for you tight <deleted>, they have a limited discount membership and I bought the first one. Read it and weep.....!

260baht/hour is still cheaper for serious players than playing in chang for example 20baht/game and the quality of play will be so much higher (not that anyone would go to chang to play pool seriously)
i dont think this place ever wanted to cater to some random drunks anyway
I agree. 130 baht each, for a quality table in a good location is very reasonable. Playing snooker/pool in a proper club is so much more enjoyable than just being in a bar that's got a table. Price wise though, I think they could do themselves a huge favour by selling their beer at a reasonable price, it will be OTT beer prices that keeps people away, not the table prices.
Are all these tables 8 or 9 ball?? I'm getting confused by the measurements. They seem to be 9 ball size but I thought everyone played 8 ball on Phuket.

Has anyone heard about the new pool club in Patong. I have heard a new 9 table pool hall is opening on Nanai Rd.
Has anyone been or seen it?
