So... went to Mission Hospital yesterday. When I registered I was told it would take 10-15 minutes, but all in all it took two hours of waiting and the 2 minute procedure. ????
The dermatologist said it would cost about 1 000 bath, but ended the bill said 2 400 ????
Equipment seemed to be from the 80's, but the little bump got removed and it looked good afterward, so yeah, I'm still happy I got it done

To look up prices for flights, what website should I use?
-
Wow, good pointers here guys, thanks!
By the way.... assuming I start with Chiang Mai... should I travel directly from Chiang Mai to Koh Chang, or will I need to go back to Bangkok in between?

Oh on timing btw.
So I saw the dermatologist on Friday afternoon, and she took the biopsy sample
Results were back on Tuesday
I had the plastic surgeon perform the removal of the underlying tissue on Friday of that week, all as an outpatient procedure
So it was all within a week
Good to know. Thank you very much!
I'll be heading to Mission hospital today and we'll see how it goes.

C Cup Cafe is one of the most loved places in Bangkok, and of course mostly for men. Waitresses there are allowed to wear whatever they want since the cafe doesn’t have a strict dress code, so they proudly show off the correlation with the cafe’s name. The food is pretty good, too, according to the happy faces on their page.

Wow, this thread is a keeper!
I've always liked Bangkok, as far as big cities goes, and now there are even more reasons!
I won't run out of things to do for a while.
Many thanks for all the great tips! ????

Bobae Tower, okay I'll check it out.
Thank you for the tip! ????

I used their online booking page but today I got this response:
"Since this is your first time here we cannot put your name in our system, however you can walk-in and register and we will send you to the doctor after registration. We have a dermatologist in the afternoon from 2:00 - 4:00PM "
Oh well... I guess I'll just go there then.
Anyway, your answers have been really helpful. Thanks again! ????

I will arrive in Bangkok on Tuesday to spend three weeks in Thailand.
I've already been to most main locations in southern Thailand and I'm thinking about trying something else this time.
With three weeks, would it make sense to go to Chiang Mai and Koh Chang?
(I probably can't afford a flight so it would be by bus in that case).

Can you recommend some Unusual/odd sights/places/activities in Bangkok?
For example taking a bicycle tour in Bangkok was quite fun.
I've been in Bangkok quite a few times but mostly been to the main things like temples, river market, MBK and so on.
What are some lesser known places/sights/activities?

Thank you all for good advice! ????

yes, you apply the gel yourself at home.
Cool!
Do you happen to know a good place for getting a mold, and/or approximately what it costs? -
I'm looking for a special type of T-shirt I bought in MBK three years ago (not available on Khao San Road, by the way).
Where in Bangkok can I find the largest selection of T-shirts?

The cheapest way is to buy some 3% hydrogen peroxide at a pharmacy and use it as a mouth wash once a day. It may take a few weeks, but it should whiten your teeth.
Hmm, interesting. I will read up on that!

"Good" and "cheap" do nto go together when it comes to cosmetic procedures of any type, including dental.
With tooth whitening you have basically 2 options: laser treatment or gel application. For the gel they need to initially make some molds for your teeth, after that initial outlay gel method will be cheaper over the long term.
Ah! So, could I perhaps make the mold in Thailand and then use gel at home?

Thank you both for your advice!
How does it generally work?
Should I somehow book online or do I simply show up at the hospital?
Will I need to wait for hours, or even get a time another date?
Ah, Mission Hospital seems fairly close to Khao San. Is it a public or private hospital, and can I be sure they even have a dermatologist?

Can you recommend a place for good and cheap tooth-whitening in Bangkok?

I've had a small cyst/bump on my leg from an ingrown hair for 5 years which I'd like to remove in Bangkok.
I'll be staying in the Khao San Road -area.
Where should I go to have it removed without being too expensive and time consuming?

You need visa photos and about 30 hours in Vientiane (apply morning pick up next workday afternoon). Only or or two entry but you can come back for another.
Awesome! Thanks fellows!

Why don't you just come here on a normal 1 entry tourist visa 60 +30 and then make a visa run at the end of that to Laos and get a double entry tourist visa. Then you can avoid all the hassle of meeting your consulate requirements.
Now that was a fresh idea!
This may in fact be the best solution for me!
How hard/easy is it to get the 'Double entry tourist visa' from Laos? (can one even get a triple?)
What do I need and what do I need to do?
-
(Nationality: Swedish, Age: 33)
I'm about to apply for a 'Tourist Visa - Triple entry'...
In order to get a triple entry visa, the embassy in Sweden asks me to provide 3 x in/outwards-tickets (in other words tickets for visa-runs plus a "final" outwards ticket):
Ticket in
60+30 days
Ticket out
Ticket in
60+30 days
Ticket out
Ticket in
60+30
Ticket out
1: Where can I buy cheap visa-runs online so I can get/print tickets to show the embassy?
2: Does it matter if I the visa-runs are by land or by flight?
(I've heard non-confirmed rumors about the tickets having to be by flight to get 60 new days rather than 14days)

Thanks guys.
Hmm, I guess my new plan would be to spend a week each (in hotels to begin with) at several locations around Thailand until I've found a location where I can dedicate to stay for 3-6 months at least.
Cheap hotels near MBK?

Can you recommend some cheap place to stay (no dorm room) for one person, with AC and Wifi (under THB 1 000/night) near MBK?
