Hi,
I am trying to soundproof my little home studio. Do you know where I can find Mass Loaded Vinyl (MLV) soundproofing curtains in Bangkok?
I will also need some bass traps and other foam panels. If you have address to find that, thanks to share them

Many Dive Center are available in BKK.
I personnaly go with Scuba Jamboree (http://scubajam.com/) on Sukhumvit 49 (they use the swimming pool of the Racket Club).
They also organize dive trip and Liveboard (you can find the list on their website).
My spouse and I really enjoy going with them: friendly and professional.
But you have many other good ones that can be recommanded such as Dive Indeed (Asoke), etc...
Lot of quality choice in BKK

Hi,
I need to find medical grade distilled water to fill a moisturer for a breathing system.
As this is for breathing, I know the one for battery will not fit (and also distilled water for battery includes electrolyte, so it is technically not pure).
I have been told that hospital suppliers can have some but I don't know any supplier.
Does anyone here can give me the address of medicial suppliers in Bangkok (if possible not too far as I leave in Asoke area)?
Thank you very much for the help.

Hi,
For a mattress, it depend of what you search.
I you can sleep on whatever bedding, you can buy mattress very cheap everywhere.
But if as me you have big back issues, it is not an opion for me to have a high quality bed.
I just ordered yesterday a King Size bed at Udon Furniture (Central Bangna) Dunlopillo Ultimate 100% Latex with 15 years warranty that was on sale at 34,000 THB. The feeling was better that other beds we tested costing 60-80,000.
Inc ase it can help...

Hi All,
thanks for your answers.
For the True Online Ultra VDSL 50/20, I never heard about it. Where can I have some details because I cannot find it on their website. Also, do you have an idea of the price? me now, I am using the 30/3 package of their Ultra High Speed Internet and the UL is a bit low for my needs.
For the DL, I was able to saturate it 1-2 times only, so I don't think I need more than 30, but for the UL, as I have VPN with my friends in France, to have something line 10 would be great
Also, I know that True is the only provider with a real International Bandwidth, so of course I would prefer them.
Thank you

hummm... sad sad not having FTTH available yet
-
Thank you for the links, lomatopo.
Unfortunately none of those links tells if the FTTH is available or not.
Right now, I use the Ultra High Speed Internet from True (this is basicaly a FTTB solution using vDSL v2) but - whatever the solution works fine exept when the line cut 1-2 days long - I would like a solution with symetric bandwidth (and if possible a static IP). a system of 30/30 or more would be great
I checked ftth.co.th, tot and cat, but I did not find a single website showing the price and geographic availability of FTTH solution.
If anyone is using FTTH or as more info, it would be great.
Thank you

Hi All,
Does anyone know if FTTH internet connection is available in Bangkok / Asoke area?
If yes, who provides it, what packages and at what price?
Also, what about the triple play? Is it finally available here?
Thank you

Hi,
Thnaks for the reply.
In fact, I don't plan to go to SG in a close future, but I plan to buy within 1-2 months.
And if the difference of price is about 100-150 Euros, I have no interest to go aboard to buy it, especially if I want maintenance.
Also, in ProPlugin, do you think some of the Controller / Monitors are in demo?
Thank you

Hi all,
For Vichai, their E-mail is not working: mailbox over quota But thanx for the info.
For the X1, I will check if I can find it but I cannot garantee.
If anyone has info where I can buy the Xone:DX, that would be really great.
Thank you

Hi,
I request at least 2 Mbps symetric connexion.
I saw CAT offer a 2 Mbps G/SHDSL connexion around 4800 THB/month
Is it expensive?
What do you think about the quality offered by CAT? Are they serious?
Thank you for the info you can provide me

You want 2 internet lines and do load balancing between them.
It is not something really difficult.
here is what you need:
- 2 phone lines
- 2 modems (one for each phone line). I personaly recommand Linksys or Zyxel modems
- 2 internet connections (one for each modem + phone line)
- 1 firewall that accept 2 WAN (WAN is the internet connection) as a WAN Trunk
For this last part, I can tell you that D-Link or Zywall are making production that can have 2 WAN port and they are not too pricey. For more professional, you can go for Cisco, Wathcguard, Netask... and they are much more expensive (especially due to the special licences for the Dual Wan capabilites)
If you want something strong and good pricing, I would recommand Zyxel. the Zywall 35, 70 or 100 are really reliable.
I personaly own a Zywall USG 100 (before I had a Cisco ASA 5505 but was "bored" of Cisco Firewalls) and it works great and the web interface and really good. And an other good thing: the user guide is really detailed (about 800 pages).

The best solution - imo - is always to use your own DNS Server (if you can).
I do that and it works great, especially because more of the malfunction you can have with your DSL connection are related to DNS servers of the ISP that are congested.
With your own DNS, it'll never be congested and you'll faster answers to your request

I worked 3 years for Dell EMEA at customer support and service minding is always there.
I keep using Dell whatever I'm not working anymore for this company

Hi all,
I have a new question regarding True.
My forewall (Zywall USG100) was working great with my previous connection in France.
I kept the same settings for my port forwarding (personal web server, FTP...) and now, most of my port (some are standard like TCP 443 and some are not like UDP 24xxx) are blocked.
Is it normal to have this?
And is there a solution to make things work properly?
Many thx

This is due to DNS server issues with True. You have to set the DNS in your ZyWall to the True DNS's 203.144.207.29 and 203.144.207.49
True filters and blocks outside DNS servers (as well have many many many other problems)
It works well... Thx a lot

Hum... I was thinking about a DNS issue but I didn't think this would be possible... this is so so nuts
Thx a lot... I'll check that and let you know

Hi all,
First of all, i was reading topics from this website for a few month and it is usually helpfull. So, i finally decided to register and share my (strange) experience with u to know if someone had the same problem and if a solution has been found.
I just arrive here to took the True ADSL with the Zyxel wireless modem/router that True provide. Everything work fine with this configuration.
But because I was an IT Director and System Engineer in France, I arrived with all my computer network (2 servers, 1 Linksys AM200 modem and 1 Zyxel Zywall USG 100 firewall) and everything worked perfectly with my ADSL2+ in Paris.
So, yesterday, i decided to replace the Zyxel Wireless modem/router from True by my Linksys modem and my Zywall firewall.
I set everything with my modem in "bridge mode only" with:
VCI:0
VPI:100
MTU:1492
And I set the PPPOE on my Zywall firewall with the login and password for the connection.
And everything connected and worked... I was happy
But after doing extensive testing, i found that some website (like facebook and ebay) have problems to load (especially the pictures) and sometime cannot load :/
So, I set the modem as the PPPOE and put my Zywall in the back... and same problem happened.
I put back the True modem... it work well
So, I was thinking to put the true modem and place the Zywall in the back... and problem happened again
So, overall, when i replace the modem from True or if i add a firewall after the modem from True, it doesn't work
Does anyone knows how to solve this issue?
Over the years I spent doing engineering, I had many strange problem but I never had something that strange
lol
So, if anyone can help me, i'd really appreciate.
Thx a lot
