I did the same a few months back, realised the visa had run out the day before! I went to immigration and still got the 30 day extenson but had to pay 500 baht overstay.
Get over there soon!

Maybe if the baht wasn't so strong and the BOT weakened the baht the country would get more tourists, Thailand has become a way to expensive holiday destination now.

Who in their right mind keeps 12 million baht sitting unattended in a parked car/truck sitting around the Nana area?
And are we supposed to think this Columbian gang just happened to get lucky and steal a bag from inside a locked pickup truck that just happened to contain 12 million baht???
The whole thing seems more than a bit strange...
Agree with you, a fishy story, a smelly one.
And furthermore, they don't seem to be very clever. Not 100%.com
The Toyata sedan used by the robbers is owned by Phuket resident Wichien Chooshoop. Mr Wichien said that the suspects rented his car since May 4, and denied involvement in the crime.
For 12 million, wouldn't you steal a car somewhere else and use it for the heist? That's what they normally do in farrang country.
Yeah! How do you rent a vehicle without leaving a passport behind as collateral. Try doing it without one on phuket. You can even hire a moped without leaving your passport with the owner!!!!

Hey,
Have you looked at the Honda CBR 150's, I have had mine for nearly 2 years and it really is great for the city.
Faster than the rev and go automatic scooters and not as big and heavy as the phantoms etc.
If I had to buy another bike tommorow I would by the CBR again, top little bike!
As for the traffice fumes its bearable as long as you don't get stuck behind one of those old buses! Co2 overdose for sure!

Laos (vientiane) is good for tourist visas with no proof of flight needed.
Overnight bus to Laos, drop your passport in at the Embassy in the morning Pick it up the following day in the afternoon.
I think they have extended the free period also, if so then free visa!
That will give you 60 days in Thailand and you then can extend after that for 30 days at immigration for 1900 Baht,
depending how long you plan to stay.
I was on non O and have done as mentioned above when the non ended, British Passport holder also.
