Looks like Prayut needs to expand the Prison system if he's going to "enforce," Immigration laws. The prisons will fill in no time with Burmese, Lao, Cambodians etc. Then what? No one to do the work Thai's refuse to do theirselves. Western overstays are minor when compared to neighbors of Thailand.

We have a "government" whose primary reason for existing and whole focus is on making sure the masses never get the chance to elect a government of their choice again and yet something like this, which kills tens of thousands of Thai citizens yearly is ignored. When exactly does reform of the police begin? That would be a primary solution to much of this bloodshed. Never is the probable answer sadly.

That figure is underrated. Thai only count the dead AT THE SCENE. If you die later in the hospital, you don't don't get counted. Fact, not fiction.

Actually "fiction," more like it. The road accident follows the injured to the hospitals and through the registrations of "cause of death," reports and into the court system and National registry. Nice try there, however you almost got away with that Porkey!

many times in my flights i meet tourists and they are very dissapointed,

when i have to tell them , that this time is no season for swimming in the sea,

BUT rather swimming on the street floods in Phuket or bangkok !!

Its a shame that thailand goes only for money and profit and never

If your precious tourists read on-line regarding the weather patterns for Thailand and specifically Phuket they might not be so disappointed and prone to slag the tourism industry for their own lack of research. We are all in business to make money not loose money. Its not called "charity." I would think that tour agencies booking tours have this information avialable to them prior to bookings in China, Russia, England, EU etc. Who is actually failing here mate?
