I have 3 pages left on my current UK passport. I have work permit and B visa extension. Is 3 pages enough for another visa extension and re entry stamp, as I am going to UK after my visa will be extended again and I will get a new passport. Thanks

You have to pay the 30,000 which ever way it is shown. If you are caught, you may also face prosecution for having an illegal public performance, as RS are the Thailand rights holders.

The country has a law that states the World Cup must be free to air and if the court doesnt uphold the NBTC appeal it will be to the detriment of poorer Thais with no Pay TV

Whilst I feel sorry for the Thais who in theory have a right to free WC football, just think about the legal implications of such a court ruling.

Two private legal entities enter into a completely legal contract, one paying the other for a service in return. Several years later a government body decides to pass a law making this agreement (sale of such services under the conditions signed up to) illegal.

If the court decides that the law is retroactive this will mean that private legal entities in Thailand will not be safe to enter into completely legal transactions for the fear that a future change in law can strip them of the benefits gained under the contract and possibly even force them to be in material breach of a contract under an international jurisdiction....

If you sold me a car tomorrow, then three years later a law was passed prohibiting, retroactively, the sale of cars between private individuals, would you happily hand me back my money? Its tantamount to the same thing.

If the court rules in favour of RS, it will be a victory for the Thai legal system but against Public Interest. If they rule in favour of NBTC it will be good for Public Interest but make a mockery out of the Thai legal system.

I do not know which way they will go, but I, as judge, would struggle to defend a ruling against RS.

It wasn't years later.... the law was passed in November and RS bought the rights last year also they were made aware that this law was coming,but still bid as the advertising revenues alone are the major draw for gaining the rights for all companies.

The law is now in place if the supreme court allow RS to continue then that is making a mockery of the legal system here wouldn't you agree.

lol you got to be kidding me? I specifically called RS just 2 days ago to ask if anyone else will send World Cup. No they said. They had the exclusive rights and will be the only one they said. So, like many others in this area, I went over the street to get that RS HD thing, not even hooked it up yet lol. The money doesn`t bother me, but the fact that they knowingly lie and are telling people this just 3 days before the world cup starts, and basically let thousands of people waste their precious money and hassle for absolutely nothing, that makes me angry, mildly speaking. If this isn`t a scam, then what is? I know of several ordinary Thai households with really not much to spare that will feel at leased the same way, if not worse. Some of these This even had to buy a new PSI parabol. Almost everyone in this neighborhood already had TrueVision. I never even liked RS in the first place.

Anyway. World Cup is just around the corner. I don`t want to waste another single neuron on thinking about this company ever again.

Of course I want. In fact, world cup should`ve been broadcasted for free to everyone according to ntbc. But I was talking about the fact that they knowingly scam people to buy their services. Had they at leased told people earlier that they will let True send world cup then thousands wouldn`t buy RS boxes, because they already had True.

Hoax, I just got my PSI HD box installed on Saturday, by unplugging my True dish and moving it to the correct transponder. What a waste of time and money. RS have really annoyed me with this. True will probably do Endlish commentary,too, so I will throw the PSI box in the bin and start again.

This means that I have to change from CTH to the "f**king" terrible service of True again ??? The only thing where True good for is, are troubles.

No you shouldn't .. CTH will still show the games is part of RS. True is just an add on..

CTH nothing to do with RS. It relays channels from GMMZ, not RS.

Will True just show the live games or relay the whole RS Fifa channel with all the daytime reruns?

Bars who show the free to air games in public need to get a 30,000 baht license too. It is a ridicules situation.

If the license was 5,000 most bar owners would buy it. But, 30,00 is a complete rip-off.

Bars who do pay the 30,000 will be reporting the bars that are showing it and don't have a license. It will be an absolute shit fest.

just bought a PSI 02 HD box, no translation, nothing, it is hooked up, seems it s working, does any one know, if you can rerun the game the day after, since all games are middle of night here ...thanks

This is the only way to get a HD signal legally in Thailand. Channel 333 will show repeats of all the games, BUT no English commentary.

Ch 7 will show some games and so will Ch 8, but only 22 of the 64, however it will show 2 qf, the sf's and the final.

All England's group games on RS only.

You can buy a RS box from 7/11.

Bars have to pay 30,000 so I'm not sure if they will be showing it, there is talk of inspectors working with the police to check bars in Pattaya. What some bars do not know is they have to have the license even to show the free to air games.

I will be surprised if Sophon cable show the Astro games as they would be in big trouble from RS, but this is Pattaya

Best way to view with English commentary is to stream BBC and ITV from UK. ( bars will still have to pay 30,00 t do this and possible face a fine for showing an illegal stream in public.

as this game was on, I wrote an email to the Premier League complaining that I had paid for an expensive subscription from the official broadcaster and this cable company were showing it live to their subscribers. I included the contact details for Sophon Cable. I noticed that there was no live EPL on Sophon this weekend. I suppose it would be egotistical of me to believe that it was my email that did it. I didn't even get a reply from the PL.

No reruns on CTH last night. I put the La Liga channel on in the bar. It was showing the weekend matches in full.

I like ch136 which tells you when the next live match is on ( if you can read Thai).

I tend to leave the La Liga Channel on Sunbox on during the day. Shows repeats of all the previous days games. No rock climbing, rally car racing and snowboarding that you get on,CTH, just pure football.

Sophon cable are showing Liv Stoke in Pattaya, from Astro. I've paid for an expensive system and customers can stay at home and watch for free. TIT I suppose. Oh well.

Got CTH already. I finally got around to phoning RS Sunbox about renewing my account for La Liga channel, as my free subscription runs out. You have to pay the whole season in advance, but can't do it till 17th Aug, which is the start of the Spanish season. So, on Saturday, everyone who watches La Liga will be phoning at the same time to re-subscribe. How many hours will I be put on hold waiting? What a dumb system. And these are the people who have the rights to Brazil 2014. I wonder if there will be the usual "satellite TV cannot broadcast the competition on free to air channels" problem that we have every time with the Euros and World Cup?, then everyone scrambling to get a Sunbox fitted. I suppose that can wait till next year.

CTH seem to have changed their programming tonight. More documentaries and previews of EPL. True used to broadcast all of the Premier League Chanel content and it looks like CTH will follow suit.

The EPL was boring last season and I am much more looking forward to seeing Messi, Ronaldo et al from Spain than I am the English matches. Bundasleague was a lot better and more entertaining too. How have EPL conned us all?
