  1. Glad to hear everyone enjoyed it last night. I went to beach rd by Pattaya Klang and yeah it was a good night all in all. Sure beats Songkran !

Picture is in Chiang Mai I think awhile back but nice anyways.

Must have been standing close to you lol. Went Lengkees after for a nice meal, very packed, but we got a table for 2,no alcohol,as i was on the bike

  2. Go to this scumbags family, with your daughter and reports from cop shops.Explain VERY clearly that u will not allow him to harrass your daughter EVER again, and they have a respnsibility to discipline their son for wrong doings.

If all else fails then i would have to re-arrange his face permanently

  3. What makes you think that it only happens in Thailand. I was on a dive in Tahiti once and although we tried to convince the dive master, a Frenchman, that we were 2 short on our trip back he ignored us until we got to the dock and the owner started to collect equipment. Guess what, they were 2 short. Fortunately they went back and found the pair floating nervously in the water over the reef. S**t happens everywhere, not only in Thailand, it's just that this website must be Thai related so you don't hear about the daily " potential disasters" all over the world. Try diving in the red sea sometime, sharks are predicable, but gators and crocks aren't.

Loads of thai haters on here mate,i ignore them now

  4. I'd remain in the aircon comfort of my hotels; Bangkok is hot, crowded, noisy and polluted. Food is filthy, the water undrinkable. Some areas are full of foreigners, others bustling with Thais, neither group is culturally interesting. Travelling any distance involves either arguing with a taxi driver or sweating like a pig - best avoided.

You could sample a massage in your hotel but beware any offers of 'extras', they will inevitably lead to incurable diseases.

    Enjoy your stay.

    I thought that too lol.

  5. obviously they are desperate losers who could not find a boyfriend at home, well that's what a lot of western women say about us married to Thai ladies.

    That's a good one!

The typical Western bigotry: a male sex tourist is the scum of earth. A female sex tourist is a strong, independant woman who takes what she deserves.

Gosh you guys enjoy perpetuating your own cliches' dont you...

The fact is that most women (particularly expats) are too busy enjoying and living life to notice what others are up to.

Just as most female members on here who have Thai partners are too busy getting on with normal life to feel the need to write about it or discuss it...thats why you dont hear about it much.

But of course, that wont stop the same old same..so carry on...

I agree with most of what u say.I knew 3 western girls who even paid for sex with barboys and beach rats, male of course lol.Not many i have met acted like this, but many guys i meet act like this lol

  6. I am an Australian female with a Thai husband. We have been together 5 years, have a Muay Thai business and own a hotel in Sukhumvit, so lifes not all bad tongue.png have to admit it is much easier for a Farang woman to get visas etc.I do admit though that I got one of the good ones who is loyal, faithful and my best friend. I have seen a lot who think it's perfectly acceptable to have more than one woman!

Many western men think that way too,but they would throw out their gf/wife if she did it lol.

  7. Hope you friend successfully recovers. I feel bad for foreigners who have to experience these 2nd rate hospitals in Thailand. Hope he can be safely transferred to a decent Bangkok hospital and fully recover.

    Drunken ramblings or what

The OP DID say Bangkok/pattaya hospital, one in Pattaya and one in,yes u guessed it, BANGKOK

  8. 30+ is older??? good lord how old is the OP?

As for the notion that 35 year old Thai women are aging poorly well, it depends on where you live doesn't it. Women who work hard and labor in the sun will age faster than those women who sit in offices or don't work at all or never see the sun. Women who drink heavily, smoke heavily will age faster than those who do not.

Got not alot to do with Asian or Thai but how hard is her life. Something you might want to think about next time you think a woman over the age of 35 is not attractive simply because she is not 22.

My partner of 8 years is 38,doesnt smoke, very rarely drinks,42 kilo, and she has amazing skin, and beautiful to me.When my ex english wife was 38 she had amazing skin too, didnt smoke, hardly drank then, very petite too.

  9. IMO, some of the best english language speakers are bar girls......xblink.png.pagespeed.ic.AQgCnSOpp_.png

A lighthearted remark that is actually very important.

Yes, in my experience (though I'm a woman, so I don't chat to bar girls too often...) bar girls and ex bar girls do often speak the best English. It says something about the education system, and also about HOW and WHY to learn English. If necessity is there, people learn.

Here in Isaan, even in this private school where I work, most of the students don't have any opportunity to speak English with anyone other than their English teachers. But those with a foreign neighbour, an aunt married to a foreigner, etc... they DO learn more quickly, on the whole. They just see the practical use of English, and Bing! - there's the motivation, and therefore the learning. The same applies to bar girls and anyone else working in the tourism sector.

So I shall suggest closing down our school's English department, and sending the kids to Pattaya for the term...

Obviously u want the KIDS to work in the tourism industry????

  10. This should come as no surprise to anyone. I have worked in the Thai Governments Educational system as a teacher for six years.. I'm a retired attorney with a Juris Doctrate degree. I have been a teacher at the New York Police Dept.Academy in New York City. I consider myself highly qualified to teach at the high school level here in Thailand preparing the students for there university years. It is my opinion the problem with the farang English teachers here in Thailand is that 90% or more are not Enlish teachers or any other kind of teacher. It seems that every farang that wants to live in Thailand immeditely becomes an English teacher upon arrival.A week ago driving a taxi in the UK, today! an English teacher,a month ago selling clothes at a US department stoe, today! an English teacher. I have been there and watched so many incompetent ,ill prepared "Foreign English Teachers" who literally have zero teaching experience, nothing. Until the Thai government gets smart and starts to hire only qualified people to teach their students the problem will never be solved.Being ahead of Iraq is hardly something to be proud of.

Very good post, unfortunately u are right

  11. Of course other stuff crashes in farangland or anywhere, BUT the big difference is the guys in control of whatever machine are highly trained to do the job as they have passengers lives in their hands ...yes/no ?

From the regularity of van crashes in LOS that is clearly not the case. whistling.gif

Crashes happen everwhere in the world and for the OP, CHILL OUT,THE CHANCES OF DYING ON A VISA RUN IS MINISCULE

Tell that to the many that have lost their lives due to an untrained macho driver. Visa run or not.

No difference the world over.I have many many friends who have done visa runs, and minibus runs to all over Thailand, and not one has been killed, lost 2 mates in uk though,to crazy driving errors

  13. Just read about a bad car crash in England, none of my mates have phoned me to say they dont want to drive on motorways again.

A train crashed in France a while ago,are the trains empty now.How many planes have crashed in the last 20 years, will you ever fly again ????

The problem here is us long timers know how the majority of these van drivers drive, AND the weekly carnage using them. Big difference to stuff in farangland. I personally would never set foot in one, to many visual experiences. sad.png

All plane crashes are not all in farangland??/

Is 10 years of 90 day visa runs, old timing????

never had a bad experience, not to say a driver will never crash, due to a mistake, bad weather, other party bad driving, but one cant tar with the same brush.

Think you miss the point, but thats OK, you carry on. smile.png

I think u miss the point.

The reply was addressed to the op,who was concerned about his first visa run, because he heard there has been one crash, resulting in one death. My post was to re-assure him that planes crash, and no doubt thats not stopped him from traveling by air.Cars and mini buses crash, but i bet he came from airport to his destination by car or bus, thats my point

  15. For those Fahrang who are being sarcastic, insulting and making fun of my country, if you don't like it here, get the F out, go back to your country. Why are you here?. I admit the fact that Thai people are not good at English. But there must be a lot of things here in Thailand that you Farang must like and appreciate besides those bar girls. So BE RESPECTFUL ! or go home. I have lived oversea for 25 years and traveled a lot so I know my country is one of the best place on earth.

    I agree with u,if u arent a troll lol.

YOUR english is good, even bad swear words are known.

Thailand is a far nicer country to live than England, for me.The amount of guys that moan about thais are no good at english, but they wont learn thai.

  16. In the US, the police would wait until he finished stabbing the Korean to death. Then they would call for backup. Then with a full swat team as backup they would repeatedly shoot and taze the suspect until dead.

    Good post.

I HAD PROBLEMS IN THE 70,S,with spanish yobbos, trying to snatch gold from neck, and when the falklands conflict started, i was in Spain too,and was quite dangerous for english tourists as the spanish lads, seem to be Argentinan lovers. When we all stuck together and battered a few, there was no trouble. Been to Marmaris,Turkey and the turks seem to be hell bent on fighting the english too.

    Thailand is much safer,trust me

  17. Thailand beats only Kazhakistan in English proficiency. Wow! What a travesty of Thai leadership and educators for all these years and all these tourists. The best that Thais can do is beat Kazhakistan. What a squandering of resources, leadership and energy in Thailand. Unimanageable waste and lack of concern for its own people.

Dont forget that the english teachers must be very poor also

  18. There is nothing wrong with being a cheap charlie. Why pay more than you have to for anything?

So long as you're not cheating someone, stealing something or being fraudulent then what you do with your own money is up to you.

Nobody has ever tipped me over and above any price I have requested for goods or services supplied.

tip is a gesture of gratitude for good service or good taste or fast service.

No one is forcing you to tip, but if you want to get faster/preferential service one would.

Try not to tip in a nice bar and see what happens the next time you go order a round.

When i say a nice bar, i do not mean a beer bar, i mean a nice bar in any country in the world where drinks do not cost $3, but more like $10

In Pattaya all that counts is money! Do the locals tip? No. Oh I forgot we are all rich farangs.

Why not pay double for your air ticket and give the 50% as a tip? I'd accept your $10 drink and reciprocate in a beer bar.

    1. We are not talking about "crazy" tips

    2. Yes locals do tip, especially when they want to show off they leave huge tips. I had 1 Thai guest who tipped the maid 300 baht and reception 300 baht for 2 days stay., when they get a takeaway they do not tip, when they eat in side, always minimum 20 baht tip

They must have been lucky as my partner says the worst tippers in her hotel are thais
