  1. Interesting link, considering the wreck was meant to be off limits at that point? Ah, was this the same lot that I saw diving around 10 minutes after the ship went down, or where you a bit later? I heard they also penetrated the wreck, which seems to be somewhat risky at that point.

We received a phone call from the Navy that we could dive the wreck 30 mins after it was sunk. Penetration was strictly out of the question and as far I could see, nobody did. No idea what happened after we came up, but that same day, the nice big flag you see in the video, got taken away :(

The Navy actually asked us to inform them about how the ship was positioned on the bottom, but by the time we came back up (49mins later), everybody was gone, except some fishing boats which were lowering their nets!

  2. From Tollway, head to Bangkok Chonburi Motorway. Keep driving till there's a board for Rayong/Chanthaburi, then just keep following Chanthaburi boards, no need to enter Rayong.

Then once trad boards start appearing, keep following them. Then once entering Trat, you have to follow laem ngob, and take Koh Chang ferry at Ao Thammachat. Never take any other ferry company from other piers as their service and ships are just shit plus very long delays in queues, comparing to Koh Chang ferry.

Correct, but you can avoid entering in Trat too.

Just get the sign to Ferry Ao Thammachat ,on the right at the big intersection at Sen Tung, about half-way between Chanthaburi and Trat.

Correct, If I'm not mistaken the section is about 11 km before Trat. You can follow the signs to Trat Airport as well, this is the same road that goes to the ferry.

  3. A visit to the East coast of the island is well worth it, you can visit the mangroves there and have some excellent seafood ;-)

Like Changian mentioned, a lot of people wanna go snorkelling , however there are companies that go out and escape the crowds!!!

Jungle trekking, elephant trekking, cooking classes, tree top adventures, waterfalls you name it, it is all here...but one thing you really should do is enjoy the sunset every evening. They are just magical here and the best thing is...it doesn't cost you anything ;-)

  4. ...

A few others are under consideration including Chai Chet Bungalows so keep them coming.

    ...

Try the one next door, is called Coconut Beach Resort. Great value for money, nice pool for the kids, straight on to the beach. Close by you will find plenty of restaurants, shops and a supermarket. The resort is situated in the center of the island so easy for getting around as well!

    Greetings
