  1. Ive just had my uk degree copied then notarised by a solicitor, stamped by the uk foreign office and stamped by the thai embassy in london. This is what i had been told was necessary.  I used a uk based company to handle all the processes,  you post your original degree to them and it came back 2 weeks later all complete.  Total cost £141.plus postage.

  2. what airline are you flying with?, if you dont have frequent flyer access to there lounge you may be able to pay in, you can with etihad, 1000 baht, but all you can eat(snacks) and drink inc, have tv,s, newspapers, sofas etc. apart from that you have shit out i think.

  3. if you have time, get a freedom pre paid credit card, you load it with sterling before you travel and use it in atms anywhere, they somehow give a better exchange rate than normal banks or booths, current rate at time of posting this is 49.44.

they then charge 99p per visit and 150 baht at the booth.

  4. Your wifes visa will probably have been stamped "no recourse to public funds" that also means that as a visitor she is not entitled to free NHS treatment.

She can get emergency A&E treatment but anything further would have to be paid for, have a gander through this website, it might help http://www.dh.gov.uk...sable/DH_074379

No doubt she took out travel insurance, would this cover her if it's not routine?

    Travel insurance never covers pregnancy

You could argue it WAS an accident (condom broke...)

  5. I use a pre-paid credit card ( escape but there are many different types) i paid £5.00 for the card which my wife holds and i can load it with cash online anywhere in the world. ideal for small amounts. its free to load with cash but they charge £2.00 every time the card is used at an atm, also the thai bank charge 150 baht. can draw £300 a day max and card account can have a maximum £3000 in it.

  6. you will want to be careful, if you bring anything of significant value, you will be racketted by customs.

Well in the OP's position I would buy as many cigarettes as I could stuff in my luggage and chance it at customs....worst case scenario is they get confiscated.....chances are you can turn at least 100% profit.

Bit of a risk....depends on your poker face.....

I used to work as groundcrew at a UK airport and it was not unknown for a foreign country to tip UK customs off when they spotted a suitcase full of cigarettes.

    Not a good idea!

How much are packages of 100x 500mg paracetamol pills sold in the UK? (90 baht at boots)

    Pennies in tesco
