I'm interested if anyone has tried a CES device such as Alpha-Stim.
I was on Skype the other night to an old friend in England.
He was formerly a commercial pilot and had to slowly give up because of an anxiety syndrome.
Recently he has taken up again with microlight teaching.
He said he would wake up on days he would do tows with gnawing anxiety.
He started using Alpha-Stim.
First day nothing.
Second day a remarkable calmness happened which has continued.
We were both Buddhist practitioners so he knows his mind better than most and is quite sure it's not a placebo effect.
At a cost of $1,195.00 I am sure it is worth a try !
This device seems to fall into the same category of scam as the famous ZAPPER which claims to cure all ills, even incurable ones and the Zapper is cheaper than the Alpha-Stim ! Only some $ 300 !
I have of course not included the the web addresses of these bogus products here but they can easily be found if one is skilled in the use of Google.
Buyer beware !

The CT scan reveals the presence of a very small (suspected) cholesteatoma together with evidence of chronic infection.
The good news is that (as yet) there is only minimal "damage" resulting from the infection/cholesteatoma.
Treatment is (as you know) surgical and involves the use of an operating microscope and micro-surgical technique.
The surgeon will aim to remove the cholesteatoma and reconstruct the eardrum whilst preserving/improving hearing.
In the West this surgery is often undertaken on a day case basis but given that you are situated some distance away from the hospital you may have to be prepared for a 2-3 day stay in KK.
I wonder if your wife's "understanding" is somehow related to interpretative difficulty.
If there is indeed no paediatric ENT surgeon at KK you should secure a referral elsewhere possibly Bangkok.
I hope this short note is helpful and I of course send my best wishes for an early resolution to your little girls problem.

Just as a matter of personal interest is it possible to "convert" a TV to a NON "B" ?
I am aware it is possible to convert a TV to a NON "O" on the basis of retirement or marriage if certain conditions are met.

Fill out a new one and give it to them. There normally are some on counter before immigration.
Hope you have 20,000 baht to pay your fine.
Wrong....The maximum fine is 5.000 THB not matters time.
Sorry but it is you who is mistaken and as a result posting bad information.

I am, of course, delighted for you !
The present UK is not the place I grew up in.
Nothing would tempt me back there !

Imagine how easily living as you describe could so easily go very wrong, very quickly !

Not wishing to be provocative but
If people wish to avoid presenting evidence of income (40,000 a month or approx £850 for a "marriage visa" ) what are they living on ?

How do you suggest the Embassy Stamp (which certifies authenticity) is obtained.
Ther are multiple Consular's Offices arround Thailand. Ask them. Or Mr. Larry Cunningham. You may oly be required to let them make copies of Both Passports and have you sign copies so they can Overnight to Embassy with return to your Residence @ their Expense!
Thanks for your "expert" advise!
Cunningham is an Hon Con for Australia so is about as much use as a chocolate teapot to a Brit !
"Ther are multiple Consular's Offices arround Thailand." (sic)
Perhaps you would kindly name the "multiple" British Consular offices to be found in Thailand ?
Thanks

The OP needs to turn up at the airport with 20,000 and a ticket out of the country.
He may, given the length of overstay, find himself detained whilst the police check if there are any outstanding charges against him.

I live in the South of Thailand. Asking me to go to BKK for this piece of paper is outrageous even if it is provided at no cost.
The total cost of obtaining this letter would exceed 3000bht flying Air Asia assuming the task could be completed in one day.

The symptoms described are to an extent atypical (which is not unusual! )The significant finding is"with 1-2 mm horizontal STdepression in II, III, AVF, V3-V6."Which may be suggestive of a degree of myocardial ischemia but may also be an artefact. The dyspnea (shortness of breath) which terminated the test may just be a reflection of your general level of fitness. The next stage of investigation will most probably be be coronary angiography. If you are generally well and able to return home for futher investigation that might be a good plan.Best wishes

Good value accommodation is not to be found on line !
Some personal effort needs to be expended!
This involves searching out those private "for rent" signs or seeking personal recommendations.
Good luck !

From what I've seen, many doctors like to make the problem go away by administering happy pills, of the family benzodiazepam. This includes valium and xanax, and many others. I strongly advise against this route. Long term and/or excessive dosages can lead to very serious addiction, and unimaginable horror when the victim is eventually forced into withdrawal. This may sound overly dramatic, but I have personal experience, and what I say is no exaggeration. It's best to find some natural way to deal with stress. I have several tools I use, including exercise, meditation, yoga, and focusing on my breath. Some of this stuff may sound fruity, but it actually works, and has no real drawbacks, except if one over exercises. In my experience, doctors just want to get the patient out the door with as little fuss as possible, and a prescription is an easy way to do this.
All you need from your doctor is a referral to a psychiatrist as this is their area of expertise.
In fact referral to a Clinical Psychologist is preferable.
Treatment of PTSD and anxiety/panic attacks by Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) has a high rate of success.
Use of any of the benzodiazepines is, generally speaking, a path to be avoided.
These drugs provide a false crutch and add significantly to the problem.

"Think if you have been allowed through UK immigration with your new passport with an exit stamp it must verify a legit passport."
No exit stamps from the UK

"Understood, I prefer the one year multi i get in the states that can be stretched to 15 months. I try to avoid dealing with Thai immigration as much as possible. Honorary consulate in the US knows me so do not have to provide marriage docs or bank account info. Last time i forgot visa photos and it was no problem. "
Which perhaps goes some way toward explaining the current "crackdown" on Hon. Consulates !

Next time your in the State I would suggest you challenge your neurologist/neurosurgeon as to the exact reason for the 6 monthly MRI scans.
Sounds excessive.

I suggest reading mariocoron's two posts.
He makes the reasoning very clear.

Dont look for explanations where non exist !

"Actually it has noting to do with passport production AFAIK. I don't believe UK Embassy ever provided such letters but in the past immigration would overlook the lack of them."
It is only recently that this has become an issue.
If UK passports were still issued via the British Embassy it would be simple to implement a local solution.

The "Elected officials" will have had very little input to this mess. The smear of bureaucracy is, however clear.
The intention I have no doubt was good and sought to reduce passport fraud which emanated from some third world Embassies.
However, as always, the bureaucracy have failed to join all the dots !
