  1. I am not being flippant about this but it will be interesting to see how the insurance companies work this one out

as its a natural rain water flood held back by levies and protection then levies opened which makes it a man made flood and not an act of nature

Most insurance policies omit everything that any one can make a claim on and so this is an interesting situation

BTW I am housing and feeding a few Thais that have lost all

Yes just like the insurance companies did in Australia at the beginning of this year but most got nothing.

  2. Why can't they have an emergency services organization to run & coordinate in cooperation with the relevant government department for these disasters? comprised mostly of volunteers as we do in Australia & I should imagine also in many other countries, instead of relying on the military all the time when there is a problem.

I'm sure other countries would assist in setting up an emergency services organization. With a population of 65+ million they should be able to get someone involved.

  3. Hi guys, Thankyou for joining my Facebook page..Great to see some Aussie lads join with Isaan wifes and kids!! Ill post some pics soon

Hi I have searched for the Facebook page but can't find it.

    Stay in touch thanks.

    regards

    Ken.

  4. Police are not interested in reporting as a rule and would not expect such. Immigration are also police so I would do the TM28 immediately with them.

Immigration has also not required such reporting for transit type moves (exception being Hua Hin which used non reporting as a reason not to issue letters of residence). With the publication last year of the TM28 rules suspect this now is becoming policy with the opening of an office in each province so agree with above post to file both - when you return to Pattaya you will have to do again there. More useless paperwork/trips for everyone.

Hi I have read previously that if there is no immigration in your area you can report to the local police, Is this correct?

    Thanks.
