    hypocrates

What has Hypocrates got to do with Thailand?

With regard to the OP (Jmax), I presume your stay was based around the cultural areas of Walking Street or Bangla Road,

you should have got around more to the really 'mucky/sleazy' areas called 'Wats', Ayuthaya, villages and ' wildlife reserves'.

You would have loved it. SMILE!

As the normal saying goes to stupid 'farangs' who expect it to be the same as they left behind DON'T COME BACK!

    ed: op nom de plume

wrong just like how thai. reps. itself. went nowhere near those places, you really think i'd go back with a op like this.

alot other people said the same thing while i was there.

  2. probably the most misrepresented statement ever! was there for a month and those people are the most rude, money hungry, dikheds ever .Never again i see why tourists are going elsewhere. really was disappointed the whole trip. i guess i can say the beack were ok but again what they call a beach front 'resort' is really open for debate. whats really sad is the country could be soooo much better if they'd just pick up their garbage. they rely too much on the thailands natural beauty that they forget to take careof it. should be called 'the land of piles!'

  3. I'm going against the grain here but I will move to any airline that offers mobile services. I spend far too long in the air to not use the time for work communication. I'll try and keep my voice down for any TV members :o

IMHO no phone call is that important it cannot wait until you land, just leave a message on your voicemail to callers to leave their name and tel number and when you will be available to take calls., then switch your phone off until you land and are in the airport building.

definitely true .this just opens the door for every moron to make 'work related' call. gonna so mant teenagers makin 'job' calls

  4. Good grief, Thai News Alerts, are you serious......more like tedious news alerts. Some guy gets busted with a reefer....whooa ! Seems like you guys are making more of a hoohaa about this than the Thais are, and you'll probably be mumbling on about this long after the Thais have forgotten about it.......go find some real news.

Hey dude, no one said you HADto respond.....go find some 'real' posts

  5. And scam after scam posted on the net and highlighted on European TV. The whole World knows about Thai cops and their antics, and the Suwanapoom lock-ups, not to mention the litter police on Sukhumvit. Why come here when you can go somewhere where law and order is on you side,

How to kill the golden goose, suckers.

Never been to thialand but, all the horror stories of scams, false imprisonments, harsh drug laws, corrupt imm. officials. If my wife did'nt want to go i would soooo much skip it and go to laos or cambodia.

  6. On the Sky News channel last night - this was one of the lead stories. It sems the main reason that Dubai is taking such a strong stance is two-fold. Firstly to appease world powers that they are doing something serious to help stamp out the drug trade. Secondly, Dubai borders Afghanistan, which is one of the main suppliers of opiate drugs to the rest of the world.

    Peter

i understand 'the war on drugs' . we are talkin weed here. just all other countries 'chippin away at the iceburg above the surface'. but whats 'below' is ALOT bigger cocaine, heroine, etc.

  7. He has got plenty of money if he is careful,i dont understand all the people with negative repsonses to his post.

You can get cheap digs if you look around and are flexible in your standards of quality.

You can eat for less than 100 bt a day if your attitude is eat to live and just eat as the Thais do,goin native.

You can get off your face for as little as 100 bt also if you want to!

You can get a bus or a train anywhere in Thailand for a pittance compared to the west.

And you can have a good time on next to nothing if you are a character and interesting to others.

The one point that is true is Samui is more expensve but i am sure that if you get about and look you can find laces in your budget, try issan for a different slant on Thailand a bit more realistic and cheaper..go for it!

Compared to when i first came to Thailand u are millionaires lol.

what about all the Hostels in Thailand? safe, cheap, comfortable.
