I believe its possible to get a temporary meter which costs more than a standard one. Once the house is registered and an official address obtained, then you get the proper meter.
I could be wrong though :)
You need to ask at your local PEA office
thanks i was thinking the temp was more than the standard, will be asking the neighbor for electric i think

Went in to Chonburi Land Transportation Office today at around 2.30pm, walked out 20 minutes later with my brand new Thai car driving licence.
Very speedy. I'll do my bike licence later when I'm in less of a hurry.
Can I ask what documents you used and what was the process, sounds very quick

thanks for the input
i want make my own as in the future i will be making to fully automatic with auto start for genset.
managed to pick up a couple of mitsubishi 50a 3 pole contactors for 1500 each so not to pricey
-
i am designing a 3 phase transfer switch for genset backup using 2 interlocked magnetic contactors, the question is do i need to switch the neutral or can i keep a sold neutral as i can find 3 pole contactors ok but the 4 pole type are not so easy to find.
perhaps this is a good question for crossy to help with

Mine too, in on the 18th, ready today. Impressive tracking information too, DHL tracked there, DHL tracked back and then an email and phone call from VFS today.
I didn't receive any DHL tracking on the the return leg

You can get a 60 day extension for 1,900 baht based on visiting your wife and then apply for the 1 year extension towards the end of the 60 days (once the 400K has been in the account for 2 months).
Thanks for the reply
Can I do this at immigration or do need to leave the country
Yes, at your local office and you're wife will need to go with you plus:-
- Form TM7 (the standard extension of stay application).
- 1 x photo.
- Original marriage certificate and signed copy.
- Signed copies of you passport pages: ID, Entry Stamp, Visa, Departure Card.
- Signed copies of your wife's ID and Tabien Baan.
- Maybe they will want form TM30. This is the form used by the Owner/House-master to report that you are staying with them.
- 1,900 baht.
- Forms can be downloaded here. http://bangkok.immigration.go.th/en/base.php?page=download
Thanks for the info
